Can you drain your dishwasher through the floor?
You can, but depending on the model you may have problems with water siphoning out of the dishwasher during operation. Putting in a high loop may prevent this, and running the drain to a countertop air gap device before passing through the floor should certainly prevent it.

If I washed my Pampered Chef ice cream scoop in the dishwasher will it be ruined?
It seems that the liquid in the scoop is made to somehow transfer the heat of your hand throughout the scoop making it warm enough to slide through even hard ice cream with ease. The properties of the liquid are destroyed by too much heat See this website: http://www.newyorkfirst.com/gifts/1011.html. Even rinsing it out under hot water is supposed to damage the liquid. Just rinse it under warm water. Works every time--unless your washing it in the dishwasher has already destroyed it. Several companies sell this type of scoop. Google it.

Kenmore dishwasher 665.15817990 Need precise placement of two drain check balls?
when you close the door, the lock light is on put will not complete the wash cycle. Will start and heat but not complete the cycle. What part needs replaced?
Vinegar. Run your dishwasher empty with a cup of vinegar sitting inside. On the rinse, stop it and run a cup of bleach through the rest of the cleaning cycle. It will clean your dishwasher and the pipes at the same time. For your sink, fill it 1/4 full of warm water and disolve 1 cup of baking soda in the water. Run your blender as you let the water out. Then follow with a cup of vinegar in both sides of the sink.

Have you got two single faucets or a single lever faucet? It could be a pressure imbalance or it could just need maintenance
Your kitchen sink should already be vented if there is a p-trap draining to the wall. if it is an s-trap it is not vented and not to present code requirements. The dishwasher drain goes into the side of the disposal and the disposal should drain to the trap. A separate vent is not required for the disposal or dishwasher as the trap for the sink is what requires a vent.
Answer The disposal is part of your drain line. It only allows liquid and small particles through it. The whole idea of the disposal is not to allow anything to big to go through the drainage system. The problem is over time the weep holes in the disposal can get clogged with grease. It can be taken apart and cleaned.
You may also want to investigate the trap in the drain as to whether it is the right configuration or it is plugged. We had a similar problem and there was a drinking straw in the pipe!
What is the proper way to cap off a drain pipe behind a dishwasher that you no longer use?
if it's plastic pipe you can just buy a glue cap and glue it on. If it's galvanized or cast iron pipe you can use a gym cap, (arubber cap that comes with a hose clamp). Just put that on the pipe and tighten it down firmly. this will prevent any sewer gas from coming out of the drain.

Some may have a water heating element inside of them, so they are not dependent on having hot water available.
My guess is your garbage disposer was also replaced and they forgot to knock out the plug before connecting the disposer hose/drain It sounds like you have a vacuum breaker on the drain for the dish washer. This is probably just a coincidence but your vacuum breaker needs to be replaced or repaired. It really has nothing to do with the faucet installation.

What would cause large air bubbles in a downstairs toilet there is no upstaires toilet.?
When the up stairs toilet is flushing. The toilet tank releases water to flush down the toilet bowl. While the toilet tank draining out water to flush and before refilling .The air that gets trapped before the floater shuts to refill the tank. That may be the air that causes the pressure to blow alarge bubble out from downstairs toilet. Bubbles in the toilet that you flush might mean that you need your sewer line cleaned. A significant amount of water leaves the upstairs toilet in a relatively short amount of time. If the drain pipe to which it is attached is "small" (three inch rather than four inch) or partially plugged or insufficiently graded, a small air pocket can form immediately in front of the oncoming waste and water. It will follow the path of least resistence. If it requires more pressure to continue down the line than is required to escape through the branch line to the downstairs toilet, the downstairs toilet will "burp", especially if it is not vented seperataly from the main vent, or if its' vent is plugged or partially plugged. I agree, first try cleaning the line. Do it right, with a proper size blade or spud running well out of the house. If that doesnt solve the problem, investigate the vent. Answer 1 is TOTALLY incorrect. It is addressing the "flush valve," [also refered to as a "flapper"], suggesting the possibility of air "ingested" before it recloses [to allow refill of the tank] "may" be the source of the air bubbling out the downstairs toilet. That air simply goes into the upstairs toilet bowl, not down the drain/waste pipe. Therefore, it cannot be related to the bubbling downstairs. Answer 2 is also totally incorrect due to the fact it is refering to bubbling in the toilet which is flushed [the "upstairs" toilet], which is not related to the bubbling in the downstairs toilet described in the question. I agree with the explanation in Answer 3, with the exception that I would visually check [with a powerfull flashlight] the vent stack for the downstairs toilet [or at least the viewable section of a shared stack], understanding of course, that unless the vent stack is a perfect straight shot, a visual check would be limited to only the straight run section. In our area, over 95% of houses are single story, and checking the drain/waste vents from the roof is no big deal. On two or three story houses, it may be better to try cleaning the line(s), assuming that adequate cleanouts are available. Many of our older houses were not required to have cleanouts, and we have break into walls or dig earth to install them. Otherwise, IF the client WILL NOT go for the cost of add-on cleanouts, we HAVE to work through the roof vent stack opening. This is not uncommon for our area.
