There should be no need for puppy pads. The crate should be big enough for the dog to stand up, turn around and lay down. The dog should be given an opportunity to eliminate before crating and immediately afterwards, it should not be left so long that it feels the need to eliminate within the crate.

Have your friends do it especially if your still in grade school like 1st grade-8th I just did that a month ago works like a charm, that way your friends know whats going on, you do, it wont be awkward if he says he doesn't like u when u walk away.

yes it is, but not too much, old dogs cannot exercise as much as younger dogs because sometime they have joint problems and they just dont have the energy. little exercise prevents their joints from becoming stiff, this causing them to not being able to walk. so little exercise will keep their joints loose and movable.

Dogs bark because its a way of communication. They either bark because they don't like the other dog, or maybe your dog is curious about the other dog. Sometimes if you meet another dog and it barks, maybe you should have some training with it before you walk the dog. Go outside and train, walk your dog on a leash (not a chain, that will hurt the dog's neck) and let your dog be next to you. If an owner is walking there dog, and your dog starts barking, then turn back a couple of steps, and then turn around again and walk. This is telling the dog that there is something wrong and he/she shouldn't be causing a problem. Try this a couple of times and I guarantee your dog will stop barking.

German shepards are very protective and are excelent guard dogs but they usually start acting like they should act at about a year old ,for eg ,i own a German Shepard and a rottweiler the rottie is 3 years and the gsd just turned 1 and hes now starting to act well how should i say over protective when people come in he barks that's ok then he tries to attack them wile the rottweiler is fine. so don't worry i will asure you that he or she will make an excelen guard dog and pet

I had a similar situation with my pit bull puppy. the first couple days i had him he was okay he then began destroying everything. Putting your dog in a crate is usually a good way to keep it from tearing up or eliminating in the house. putting your dog in the crate as a way of time out when it messes in the house. Since most dogs wont mess in the area they are confined to unless its an emergency. You should take your dog outside so it can relieve itself there. maybe changing its diet is a last step. you can also try only keeping food out when your around. youll have try mix and match these ways to find the best cure for your dog. it wont be quick or east but it will work

Generally it should be discouraged all together. Instead get the dog toys and play with him that way. Tug of war with rope toys is a great way to spend time together. Frisbee, tennis balls, and plushies are all a great way to go as well. I have labs at home. When they were young we had a game where they tried to grab the toy from me. If they accidentally got my hand I would stop playing and tell them no (not too harshly or anything, we were just playing) and then we would would play again. Dogs are smart and they catch on quickly. I had my black lab before we had kids and he grew to be 100 pounds and is all muscle. Later I was grateful that we played the games that way. Now that my kids are 6 and 8 he plays with them all the time, but he never tries to play too rough. You never know how your situation will change through the years and a dog that bites (even playing) might not always be a good thing.
