Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the undisputed father of India's missile program. He has breathed life into ballistic missiles like the Agni and Prithvi, which put China and Pakistan well under India's missile range. It is too exhausting to track Dr Abdul Kalam's achievements to date. In the '60s and '70s he was a trail blazer in the space department. In the '80s he transformed the moribund Defence Research and Development Laboratory in Hyderabad into a highly motivated team. By the '90s Kalam emerged as the czar of Indian science and technology and was awarded the Bharat Ratna. His life and mission is a vindication of what a determined person can achieve against extraordinary odds. Even at 71, he is indefatigable and dreams of making India into a technological superpower. More importantly, he is still capable of acting on it

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam spoke often on leadership and how a leader should lead. Dr Kalam says that a leader must have the inclination and then the grit to travel on unexplored paths. Everything a leader does should be transparent and high on integrity.

After graduation from Madras Institute of Technology (MIT - Chennai) he was the Project Director, he was heavily involved in the development of India's first indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-III). As Chief Executive of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program Sourabh Somvanshi (I.G.M.D.P), he played a major part in developing many missiles in India including Agni and Prithvi although the entire project has been criticised for being overrun and mismanaged.[9] He was the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of Defence Research and Development Organisation from July 1992 to December 1999. Pokhran-II nuclear tests were conducted during this period and have been associated with Kalam although he was not directly involved with the nuclear program at the time.

Every nation should have a vision statement which can stir imagination in all strategies of the nation. India has the opportunity to become a leading economic nation in the next two decades, provided the people to have self-determination and self-reliance as well as ability to realize in a collective manner. The strength of nation can be achieved by integrating technologies from the multi-institutions. The integrated technology includes talented manpower and techno-based infrastructure. India's foreign policy should be strengthened. I will focus on making constructive changes with the help of other world powers to bring about lasting changes in the society. For this, our relationship with other countries should be strengthened. India should emerge as a strong economic and a strong military country. India lives in its rural parts. So to bring about a complete change, these areas must be developed. I will first provide the basic needs and will concentrate on the spread of telecommunication to the remotest parts of our country. Backing infrastructure will be provided. Advancement in the agricultural methods is equally important. I will introduce new machine and techniques besides educating them completely about their work. Improved quality of seeds, controlling measures storing and sowing techniques, all will be covered. Corruption will be fought against completely. I will give adequate power to the legislature and executive and see to it that they are being implemented in an honest and loyal manner. Quick trials and execution will be into practice whenever necessary. Machinery at the state offices will be made more accountable. Development in medical facilities will be improved. Technology will be introduced. But I will also keep in mind the rural areas and ensure free monthly compulsory check-ups to one and all. Preventive measures will also be taken at all costs to prevent the rise of epidemics. Health education will also be made compulsory. Job opportunities have always been a problem faced by the youth and various talented people who force them to go abroad and serve other nations rather than serving their own, therefore, I will first survey and then analyze the root cause and then gradually work upon it so that their talent does not go waste. Being a PM is not easy. He has to look and decide various things besides the development of their nation. Gandhi always inspired me but at the same time Bhagath Singh and SC Bose also inspire me to a large extent. Though these two people were completely different but without anyone of them independence would not have been possible. India has been developing at a normal speed since independence, I as the PM will try to accelerate it.
