Is there One idea both that behavioral and cognitive educators can agree upon?

Yes, both behavioral and cognitive educators can agree on the importance of reinforcement in the learning process. While behavioral educators emphasize external rewards and consequences to shape behavior, cognitive educators recognize the role of internal cognitive processes, such as motivation and self-regulation, in reinforcing learning. Both perspectives acknowledge that effective reinforcement, whether intrinsic or extrinsic, plays a crucial role in enhancing student engagement and promoting lasting learning outcomes.

If a student leaves school is it ok to have a relationship with a teacher?

It would be legal, I think, if a student and teacher marry each other after the student is no longer a real "student" of that school or any school. However, you'd have to have the student's agreement to marry them and I don't think any teachers should be marrying people they have taught.

Legally it is allowed if the student is over the age of 18. Some places might allow it if they are over 16, with parental permission. I've known it to happen in two instances. One was a high school student who married a teacher after graduation. The other was a college professor who married a student.

What are your options if a school teacher has slandered your child?

Have a parent teacher conference with the principle as soon as you can. If the teacher did this publicly, it can damage your child's reputation in school and cause other kids to bully him/her. Visit bullypolice.org for more on bullying. There are plenty of stories where a child is humiliated in school and then becomes the target for bullies, they get depressed and hurt/kill themselves. www.jaredstory.com has valuable info. The school needs to do something about this and you need to be proactive in order to get something done. I definitely concur with the excellent advise in the first answer. In regards to a lawsuit allegations such as slander, defamation of character, and so on and so forth are very difficult to substaniate even with credible witnesses. Not being versant in that type of civil litigation it is strictly a personal observation. Parents should always defend and uphold the rights of their children regardless of whether litigation issues prove valid or not.

Relationship with teacher?

WikiAnswers does not know what your relationship with your teacher is. You'll have to be honest and describe your relationship yourself. Do you get along? Are you comfortable with them or nervous around them? What sort of relationship do you have?

I am a male student and i made out with my married female teacher and liked it and we have done it more than once. she is hot and i like her and we have considered doing more. what should i do?

STOP!!!!things that we do that we KNOW are wrong tend to excite us. but wrong is wrong. and this is wrong in way too many ways...plus, it is totally unfair not just to you but to her husband and family members and everybody else that can and will get hurt by this just because ya liked it. since she obviously doesn't care, you be the grown up one and run fast and hard to get out from what will only cause you and others some severe heart ache.

What are professional qualities of teachers in Thailand?

All teachers have a degree and teacher training. However, the general level of teaching here is very poor compared to the west. Often it is by rote (aka Victorian methods) and no concern is given to students who ignore the lesson. Copying is not merely rife, but a stapple of many students. Due to face problems there is often cheating - with teachers giving the answers on request or students resitting the same exam time and time again until they get it right - during exams and students pass exams that they would not be able to given real invigilation.

What should you do if you like your 34 year old teacher and you are 15?

Piano teacher salary?

The answer varies greatly, depending upon the education and ability of the teacher. I have my MM from the University of North Texas in piano performance. I make $60 per hour teaching, and have 22 years experience.

I know teachers making $100 per hour and $25 per hour. It really does depend on your reputation and experience/education.

I can tell everyone out there that it is without a doubt one of the most rewarding professions on the planet.

Thanks,

M

The answer above is very good. I started out teaching piano in high school and earned about $30/hour. Basically I charged $15/lesson and did 30-minute lessons. Now, after 10 years of teaching experience and 2 years of college music classes, I make $45 per hour and have 23 students. You will make the most money by being in business for yourself but building clientele can be a slow process. You have to be in it for the long haul and truly love it. If you work at someone's studio you will be lucky to make $12/hour. The more education you have, the more you can charge to an extent. Most people will not pay you $100/hour regardless of how educated you are. Having any credential will make you more marketable and help you command a better salary. There is a new online school called the Wyndham Academy of Music that offers a short-term Diploma in Piano Education. You can check out their website at www.becomeapianoteacher.com I would recommend at least doing that so that you have some formal training and a proper credential. You will make more money that way.
