How much does your experience as a teacher assistant count if you become a teacher in NC?
I have been an Elementary Teacher Assistant for over 13 years and now a rising junior in College pursuing my Elementary Ed. degree. I have worked in every capacity of the class, I have "been the teacher" planned esson, assessed students, planned, created centers and all classroom management was left to me because the majority of teachers I was placed with were first year students who were too busy handling social issues and coming to school unprepared.
I feel that the experience we bring to the table far outweighs anything we will ever read in textbook or study in a manual. Unfortunately, my university doesn't see it that way; I am going to have to stay in school two semesters longer to complete the field experience because my experience doesn't count. ( I work full time in the classroom by the way).
I feel like I have been unfairly treated and that the university is doing me a great disservice.

Why should student report any spill immediately to the teacher and then wait cleaning instruction?
The answer to this depends on the students level of laboratory training. For those in High School Labs, the best idea is to immediately inform the teacher and await further instructions.
In College, particularly in later and advanced labs, a student should know proper cleaning, sanitizing, and decontamination measures available. This is true for students that work with hazardous and corrosive materials.

How do you make your teacher forget you have detention?
Your best hope is to somehow get off the radar. That is, become invisible, do not attract attention to yourself. Then, hope she becomes so busy that it slips her mind and she fails to recall it later.
Woe to you though should she forget, you not show, and then she recalls later.
You did the crime, now do the time. Learn from the mistake and don't repeat it.

Assuming that the question is actually a serious question, lets take a look at teachers and see if there is an answer to your question. First of all, one must admit that not all teachers are mean. So lets take the mean ones and divide them into groups sorted by why they are mean.
1. First group--These are mean people anyway and should never have been hired in the first place, and once hired, the principal should have seen that they were mean and fired them before they got tenure. These teachers give all teachers a bad name. They are sarcastic when they talk to the students, they talk down to them, make fun of them and generally have no respect for the student.
2. Second group--these are long time teachers that were not mean when they were younger, but over the years, the result of dealing with many years of unruly students, wise answers in the classroom, angry and mean students, they became burned out and became mean. They are usually short tempered, tend to only want to deal with the "good" students and don't have any patience.
3. Third group--These teachers are not mean, but they are seen as mean by the students because they are strict and rigid. They are not capable of being flexible and are seen as not listening. The are this way because they fear a loss of control if they are seen as weak.
How do you answer 'What makes you a good fit with this company'?
It's such a standard pat question, why give it a pat answer? If you make your interviewer laugh, you might get the job. And if he/she/it has no sense of humor, you don't want to work for them anyway. Tell them you are "mostly on time, usually sober, and not prone to going postal, except when you have too much caffeine; and if they don't believe you they can call your parole officer" Sounds funny, but I used it and HAVE BEEN AT THE COMPANY 8 MONTHS!
Well. that is surely an approach. But, you should express why you want the job, If the job is a maker for Starbucks, then you could give an answer like this:
I would be a good fit to this company because I know what cofee is, how it is made and all of the history behind it. I also would be a good fit to this compant because I am good with people and would like to help them when they do come to Starbucks.
Based off of what i am writing, you can tell that you are truthful about what you are writing. The person above did try to be funny, and maybe that did get him the job. Though we never were told what job he got. You can never be sure if your boss has a sense of humor, so go with the classic way please!
