What do teachers use spreadsheets for?
A teacher may use a spreadsheet for several different reasons;
1)Commonly spreadsheets are used to hold the grades from examinations in percentage form. By holding the results in a spreadsheet the teacher can calculate the percentages gained by their pupils in different areas of a test. This information could be used to inform the next terms teaching, with the teacher revisiting topics which were commonly misunderstood.
2)Spreadsheets can also be helpful in tracking a student's progress as terms and year progress. This information is useful if the student's personal circumstances change and the teacher wants to apply for special circumstances to be taken into consideration in formal exams.
3) A teacher may use a spreadsheet to calculate the overall grade for a unit of work, where several exams and coursework go to calculating the overall grade.
4) Spreadsheets are powerful ways to organize data because they are so simple. They are the most basic "database" format. With intersecting columns and rows you can sort information in an infinite number of ways.
Greet him/her "Good morning/afternoon/evening sir/ma'am/miss/mrs./mr." Or if you meet each other outside the classroom, you culd still say the same, or you could wave at him/her, give a friendly smile, or simply just nod. He/she will appreciate that you took notice of his/her presence.
While that might sound like a horrible reason to teach and really is, after substitute teaching for a while, all that influence and power led me to get my degree in elementary education. While I was in college, all that changed. Teaching is so much more than going into a classroom and being the "boss," and students are much more than robots for the teacher to give orders to. Though it might seem like that would be fun, it's actually not. It's very stressful and takes a lot of energy, not to mention that the students don't respond well in that type of environment.
The best reason to become a teacher is that you enjoy sharing knowledge with other living, breathing human beings whom you show respect to. Though there has to be an adult authority figure in the room in order to guide students into making wise choices, the main objective of the teacher isn't to boss children, but to teach them in a way that is interesting and engaging. That's the reason most teachers teach! They want to impart knowledge to students that, even though they often do not realize it at the time, they might need later on in life.
So, the reason people teach is to impart knowledge. Keeping order in the classroom is part of that, and that's why teachers sometimes have to assume the role of what appears to students as "the boss." If students cooperate with the teacher and obey the rules, not only do teachers not have to be so bossy, but school is a lot more fun for students and the teacher alike.
And all I can add is that the above is spot on. Although, I too say, it is because I can boss the little kiddies around and it's a power trip lol. Does get people's attention!

How can teachers tell when you use a translator?
Often, translators such as google translate are useful for single words, but if you use them to translate more text, they become inaccurate in terms of tenses and the endings of words. Also, they will sometimes use a different word to what you have been taught. For example, if you try to translate a block of text, there may be several words that essentially mean the same thing and the translator may pick a word that you have not been taught as oppose to one you have been taught that means the same thing.
Why should teachers avoid bias?
A teacher should be kind and patient because he or she never knows the background of the child in which he or she is teaching. He or she could have a learning disability, emotional problems, etc. The hollering and fronting the child off and belittling them is a no-no in my book, because teachers don't know much how psychological damage that has on a child. It can make the child lash out on the teacher, other students, themselves. Teachers should just be patient and kind because it is their job to educate and appreciate that child's individual and unique strengths and weaknesses.
