electronic short in computer system or a short in a current of the main circuit
The ohmmeter differs from other types of meters in that it has its own?
Electric supply, usually a battery.
Why is there no electrical power in your 1998 ford f 150?
Often it's a problem with a loose connection or corroded battery terminal, but it can also be just a discharged battery.
The question is too vague to answer in any kind of detail, but it would be good to start with the basics; test the battery. Use a volt meter to see what voltage is present at the battery, then start to go out from there.
If you have voltage at the battery, test voltage at the connectors, then the relay, then the fuse box.
Is a hot extension cord dangerous?
im not talking about the cord itself , im talking about the brick or trasformer thats located inline that regulates current to your lap top. main question again is this suppose to get hot ?
Hot cords I assume you mean the cord itself is hot. Yes, this happens when you are either putting to much load on the cord or are using too light of a cord on too long a distance. The cord usually at the plug can melt and then short out. Fire a very real possiblitiy
Why output voltage increases when capacitive loading is used?
The output voltage do not really increase, it is only the meter reading that increase, because not all meters is true RMS meters. If a true RMS meter is used, the output voltage will read the same with or without a capacitor. A value of .2887 approximately have to be added per volt that is measured on an ordinary meter, the reason for this is that a unsmoothed rectified sine wave is not a pure DC voltage it is a series of half cycles that can be beter explained with a sketch http://www.patenttrade.net/rms.htm
Can you use a none dedicated outlet for a space heater for a short period of time?
Yes, a space heater can be plugged into any outlet. Depending on what else is drawing current on the circuit will govern whether the circuit will trip or not. If the heater is plugged in and the circuit does not trip it can be left plugged as long as it is needed. If the heater trips after a few seconds, then try another outlet.
Is it safe to interconnect 2 - 12 volt batteries together to keep them at 12 volts?
Yes, this is known as a parallel connection. When wired in this configuration you will get double the amp/hours out of the batteries over just using one battery. Batteries connected in series results in the voltages being additive. Batteries in parallel results in longer amp/hour capacity.
if it is a big power wire ( same size as the battery cable ) then it is the earth wire you should find that the battery has one wire going directly on to the engine or chassis
there are different arangements the negative wire could be coming directly to the starter and if this is the case then the wire is just earthing the engine but in a lot of cases the starter is getting its ground from the engine and the engine gets its ground from the battery
Does the range receptacle have to be rewired if a gas stove replacement only needs 120 volts?
There is a little adapter which does this for you. It is available in Canada and CSA certified. It is available at Home Depot. Just plug it into the 240 volt outlet and you now have a 120 volt outlet, which is protected by its own internal 15 amp fuse. This device is to be used for one specific use only and that is to safely convert an electric range outlet when a gas ranges is replacing the electric range. Gas ranges need a 120 volt supply to operate and this device is used so that the range receptacle can supply the needed 120 volt supply. See related linksbelow.
What is symptom of a circuit incorrectly wired?
Circuit breaker tripping, or non functioning outlet. The neutral and hot can be reversed, or an open ground, and you will have no symptoms. This can only be detected with a circuit tester you plug in to check the wiring.
How can a technician identify a wire wound resistor that is color coded?
The same way he/she can identify a composite resistor that is color coded or a metal film resistor that is color coded: by reading the color code bands. They all use the same color code.
If for some reason the color bands are damaged and unreadable, the resistor will have to be removed and measured with a meter. However this reading may be incorrect as whatever caused the color bands to become unreadable may have also damaged the resistor, changing its value. Verify the value on the schematic!
The most clean-looking way is to unsolder the resistor from the circuit board and put in its place a piece of solid wire, bent into a U shape to fit the same holes, soldering it back in place where the resistor was A slightly uglier but much faster way is to take the same U-shaped piece of wire and bend little hooks on each end. Hook the ends around the existing resistor leads and solder. The above assumes leaded through-hole resistors. If the resistor is surface-mount, you basically have to tack-solder a tiny loop of wire to each end of the resistor. Its best not to remove the resistor unless you're trained in surface-mount component repair, or you will likely damage the board. You will need an iron with a very small tip for this.
Why are both my dashboard and taillights out on my 1994 pathfinder?
Did you check all the fuses? Other things would be a wiring harness connector becoming unseated or dirty, all the bulbs are burnt out or a wire is cut.
How do you wire the last fixture in a parallel circuit?
The last fixture in a parallel circuit is wired the same as the first. In North America, all of the fixtures are wired black wire to black wire and white wire to white wire. The black wire being the "hot" wire and the white wire being the neutral wire.
How you check the elcb is working or not?
By simulating a earth leak on the device connected to ELCB. A short between phase and the body or earth point. Care must be taken. It must be done by a trained Electrician only. It is dangerous to do it.
When measuring resistance where does the red cord go?
For simple resistance measurements it usually doesn't matter.
Electricity is not bad, it is good! Like any useful tool, it can be misused, and can hurt you, but used properly, electricity makes many things possible, such as WikiAnswers!
Where can you find the fuse diagram for a 1997 Ford E250 Van?

Click on Owner Guides
The owners manual ( which includes the fuse diagram ) can be viewed online
What is the specification of torque bus-bar?
When assembling a MCC (Motor Control Center) or any other switchgear, the bus bars have to be torqued. The torque specifications are laid out by the manufacturer of the equipment. To find what the specifications are for the specific equipment, you have to find the assembly manual that is shipped with the equipment. Where the bus has been torqued at the factory you will see black marks where the employee has checked each nut that they have done. This is done to verify that none have been missed.
How can electricity be conserved?
By not wasting t. By using it optimally, By running the equipment with highest efficiency
The fourth step of the troubleshooting process is?
The forth or last step is to turn the power back on and see if your fix worked.
