Your friend might trying to fit in with other people they know or want to be like. Most "emo" type people find it trendy to do things that most wouldn't do and dress others wouldn't normally dress. Ask your friend. Dont be rude about it either. Most times the "E" word may hurt one's feelings.

Just be natural, all men are the same whether he's into something else as far as fashion and style. Just be natural, don't lie, breathe etc., nothing bad will come out from this and I doubt you have something to loose for trying to talk to him.

No, however many emos are bi, or gay and dress the way they do because they are accepted for what they are. You don't have to be gay or bi to join the clique. Most are because they're accepted.

No, Its a personal thing, which changes from person to person it has nothing to do with being classified as Emo, Gothic,Punk Etc. I think ur wrong. Plain & simple. I myself am emo and I'm happy almost all the time. Emo is about being incredably emotional, not sad or depressed. Just because a small percentage of emos are sad doesn't mean all emo have 2 b.

An "emo" person can be found anywhere - all you have to do is look. You can find them on the Internet or they could live by you. Just look for black hair styles or anything else and the emo clothing. They can be anywhere.

They are usually found in the mall. If they aren't in the main entry, they can be found in Hot Topic, Spencers, or an arcade. They can also be found in roller-rinks or skate parks. In schools, they are most likley going to be in the corners of the cafeteria. They are also found in public parks with playgrounds. They are sometimes found in a local wal-mart or target. She'll notice you! if shes your friend, try asking her out, she might like you! emo girls are kinda the same as regular girls, just have CONFIDENCE and show RESPECT

Most are depressed, feel worthless, are bipolar, feel unimportant, etc. The style often correlates with self harm, and vice versa, however, as most trends or behaviors, the stereotype does not hold true. Some are truly depressed with good reason, some are cringe-worthy with no reason to do such a thing, and some are only in the style because they like it. Not all emos self harm, not all self harmers are emos.

Not sure, but whoever does it should be ashamed of themselves. They're just people with a lot of emotions and sometimes do self-cut. So what if they wear lots of black? I have lots of Emo friends and about half of the time, they wear bright colors and listen to punk music or whatever (and sometimes like vampires). They make awesome friends and the haters shouldn't be hating.

If "they" means emo people then here's my answer:

Most people don't even become emo on purpose. They just start liking certain music, clothing, and other "emo" things, because intrests change. Emo people don't label themselves "emo" and tell people that they're emo, because usually they didn't even try to be emo. UNLESS of course, this person is a poser.

Posers become emo because they think emo is cool, or they WANT to be emo. They're all caught up in "Does this look emo? If it does I'll buy it" or "I want my hair to be emo"

They will call themselves emo if you ask them, or even if you don't.
