i am a emo girl i love to play guitar and sing and i love emo boys. If you want to get a emo girl to like then just stop by urban plant and get a couple pairs of skinnys and sum t shorts and a ties and styl your hair all emo and us emo girls will be all over you. oh and get or borrow a guitar and try to teach your self how to play it emo girls love guiter players that sing.

I agree with the above. But also, an emo girl like me wants to know what your likes and dislikes are. And for me, the more i know, the more i fall in love even if you don't like all the same things. Also, try making eyecontact with the girl you like, it always helps. And please, don't act all manly and tough!

There's a lot of ways you could dress emo for prom..

It would help if you have black hair, but it's okay if you don't.

Why not go ahead & add some color to your hair, though, like red highlights, or blue, or pink, neon green, or some unnatural color? That's only optional.

Wear dark makeup, like lots of eyeliner and black eyeshadow. Also wear red or hot pink lipstick.

Try to keep your hair down and straight. Tease it up bigger than usual to look more noticeable. If you don't want it straight, you can always wave it with your straightener. It should still be teased, though.

Pick out the right dress. Something poofy at the bottom, short (above or at the knees), and black, possibly sparkly, with lots of tulle will do.

Wear a cute necklace, such as one with a music note, a bat, or a butterfly.

As far as shoes go, no high heels. Wear Vans, Converse, Toms, etc.. No open-toed shoes.

Fish-net stockings would look pretty, and maybe a pair of cute wrist warmers, black ones, striped, maybe checkered.

Make sure he gets you a cute corsage.

As far as dudes, just wear a black or white tux, a bowtie or tie (any color, but neon green, purple, or red would look good, and so would a checker pattern on it would be cool).

Make sure your hair is styled as usual, with perhaps a little extra hair gel to make it look more edgy.

Wear eyeliner as well.

For shoes, wear Vans or some other type of skating shoe.

You can wear skinny jeans instead of tux pants.

Emo Boys usually kiss each other to get girls they like to notice them.

Honestly, you cant put boys into categorys like that. I mean you cant say "jocks" are better or "Emos" are better...I mean really. And when you categorize them it puts a limit on the things you "Want" in a guy. If you like a certain trait in guys then look for that trait but emo is a style. It doesnt mean that they cut thereselves or that they are emotionally screwed up because most of them are normal. They just listen to a lot of music, put hair in there face, wear tight jeans and use eyeliner...if you think about it all of the things I listed are material not something you'd look for in a guy. I'm not saying emo isn't good because its quiet attractive but put personality 1st then looks...(:

Don't try to make yourself feel cooler than you are! Why don't you guys try making your life better and make some friends, or just get a life, or not wear black, not watch too much TV (TV is linked to depression), or get a few Internet lovers who are normal?

Even though changing someone isn't recommended, if you are sure you want to here is how. I used to be emo in Middle School and High School, and I know that it is really hard to change one. So here is how:

1. Show the emo that life is better than it seems. Show him/her how much you care about them. This reduces the chance of suicide for them.

2. Emo's love their music. Now that does have a MAJOR contribution to how they act, dress, etc. I don't recommend changing their music styles, because it usually won't work and it could anger some emo's (Especially since emo's are very sensitive). But if you want to then the best way is to show them other genres of music. They might get addicted to one, you never know.

3. This is one of the worst ideas, but you can tell them how scary they are being to other people. This probably won't work at all, because most emo's don't care what other people think of them.

Your friend might trying to fit in with other people they know or want to be like. Most "emo" type people find it trendy to do things that most wouldn't do and dress others wouldn't normally dress. Ask your friend. Dont be rude about it either. Most times the "E" word may hurt one's feelings.

Just be natural, all men are the same whether he's into something else as far as fashion and style. Just be natural, don't lie, breathe etc., nothing bad will come out from this and I doubt you have something to loose for trying to talk to him.

No, however many emos are bi, or gay and dress the way they do because they are accepted for what they are. You don't have to be gay or bi to join the clique. Most are because they're accepted.

No, Its a personal thing, which changes from person to person it has nothing to do with being classified as Emo, Gothic,Punk Etc. I think ur wrong. Plain & simple. I myself am emo and I'm happy almost all the time. Emo is about being incredably emotional, not sad or depressed. Just because a small percentage of emos are sad doesn't mean all emo have 2 b.

An "emo" person can be found anywhere - all you have to do is look. You can find them on the Internet or they could live by you. Just look for black hair styles or anything else and the emo clothing. They can be anywhere.

They are usually found in the mall. If they aren't in the main entry, they can be found in Hot Topic, Spencers, or an arcade. They can also be found in roller-rinks or skate parks. In schools, they are most likley going to be in the corners of the cafeteria. They are also found in public parks with playgrounds. They are sometimes found in a local wal-mart or target.
