No, emos are not always depressed. In fact, most of them are NEVER depressed. Being emo does not mean you have to cut yourself, be suicidal, hate your life, or hate other people and shun social activities. That is just a stereotype, and unfortunately, many people think that's what emo is. You can be emo and be happy and funny and nice. Sure, you can be sad sometimes, but that's just because everybody has bad days once in a while. Hope this helps!

It is a genre of music that started in the mid eighties by a band called Rites of Spring. The term emo is actually a fanmade term. The people attending their concerts used to yell "You're emo!" at the stage, hence the term. However, Rites of Spring got their name from a classical-esque song made by musician Igor Chavinsky.

Emo kids spend their time chilling and basically are solitary creatures. Thety tend to cut themselves- making incisions along their wrists, about where the veins run.

Emos are very quiet- though occasionally shy. They don't seem to enjoy life. Time sorta passes them by. Additionally, emos generally spend time making quiet, brief remarks about how they think they'll pass on.

No emo kids don't necesarily cut themeselves all the time and they're not allways angry and sad. Sure some of them do cut themselves but that's only if they were badly hurt in the past. Some of them don't cut themselves to take out the emotional pain. They express their feelings through poems or drawings.

I'm biracial too, I know how it feels to be the "hair outcast"... honestly, the closest ive gotten was just blowdrying it out and using a flatiron (the CHI is awesome) to get it straight and the parting the front and swooshing it to the side. Don't perm your hair, its not worth it. I think having curly frizzy hair makes you more unique and cooler than everyone else whose trying to fit in. Hope this helped :)

The emo star is actual a nautical star. The nautical star is usually seen as a tattoo representing membership in the US Navy or Marine Corp. The symbol represents the five pointed star of the US flag and the red/black color pattern represents the compass rose found on old nautical maps. I do not understand why emo's get the tattoo or what it means to them.

Because what you feel inside isn't the same as what emos feel.

Emos feel sad and in pain inside all the time and it's a horrible feeling and they can't go through with it any more so they want to stop it but they think the only way is to die
