With the Friendly Ford Dealer and or the previous owner of the car, found mine by looking at the Service manual of the car when original owner wrote his phone number and I was lucky in calling him, explained my problem and he courteously took the plastic card that came with the car and took it to the dealer that bought his car from where I bought it and solved my problem

i would check that the brake light switch is not sticking in the on position,and that there is enuff clearance to allow it to shut off when brake not applied

Our original battery had to be replaced about 4 months ago (we have a 2005 500). The battery showed it was fully charged --- but it wasn't. This was the original battery that came in the car. You might take the battery out and take it and have it professionally checked at a parts store. We thought something else was wrong with the car since it wouldn't turn over, but it turned out to just be the battery.

Listed in the owners manual and on the drivers door post.

If I'm not mistaken I assume all CVT Transmissions are on AWD cars.

In the trunk there is most likely a carpet like trim and its possible held on with push/pull trim tabs which you just pry off, once done then you can access the 3 nuts to remove to get the light assembly off.

I recently did this for mine. The carpet behind each tail light in the trunk comes away, and there are 3 bolts with attached rubber washers for each tail light. When those 3 bolts are removed, the entire tail light assembly is pulled away from the car to allow access. On the rear, there is a separate bulb holder for each bulb. The tail light assembly has been designed so that it is aligned as you install it, so the taillight should be straight when you are done.

Also, if you need to replace a tail light, you use this same process, you simply unplug all of the bulb holders, and you have the entire assembly removed and ready for the replacement.

As long as you move slowly and deliberately, you should not have any issues.

Disconnect the PCV valve tube from the PCV valve.
Disconnect the PCV valve electrical connector if it has one.
Turn the PCV valve counterclockwise to remove from the valve cover.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

I looked at the 2006 Ford 500 owners manual and it shows : Throttle control / transmission If the wrench light illuminates a powertrain fault or an AWD fault ( if equipped ) has been detected . Contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible

Different part numbers , look different in picture , so I would say no

The light for the anti-theft system is just to the left of the tachometer

Check plugs first, mixture harder to ignite when cold so usually hard cold starting is the first sign they are degraded, Next check IAC (idle air control) to ensure is operating correctly, could also be engine temp sensor (not likely) maf (also not likely) fuel pump not boosting/low pressure/dirty filter (possible) Also check vac hose condition and intake hose very closely-a lean condition will also be more noticeable when cold causing hard starting and or misfire but not when warm if not a severe leak.

We love our 2005 Ford Five Hundred AWD SEL. We bought it new and still love it. We have had no repairs ---- just general maintenance (oil, air filter, fuel filter, front brake pads, etc). We also love the large trunk size. We traveled for two weeks with tons of luggage and a large wheel chair. We had plenty of room for everyone and their luggage. I was also hit from behind by a car travelling about 55mph. The car handled the hit amazingly!!! Ford definitely got the safety features right on this one!!!
