Where do you put the fluid for the gearbox of a Manual KN Ford Laser LXI Hatch?
On all the lasers iv'e worked on, you have to top the gearbox level up by removing the speedo out of the gearbox. There is one bolt that holds the speedo in, You will need a 10mm socket to undo it. pull the speedo out. I usually use a screwdriver to pry up on it. The level should be filled up approx. half way up the gear. It's a stupid way of doing it. But that's how you do it. It's weird though cos most laser gearboxs use automatic transmission fliud.
How do you remove rear brake drum on a ford ka?
Well, honey, to remove the rear brake drum on a Ford Ka, you'll need to first loosen the lug nuts, jack up the car, and remove the wheel. Then, you'll locate the retaining screws or clips holding the drum in place and remove them. Finally, give the drum a few good whacks with a rubber mallet to break it loose and slide it off. Voila, you've got that drum off faster than you can say "Golden Girls marathon."

Your 1989 model Ford Laser engine is pinging how do you fix this problem?
All Ford Lasers of this year require Regular fuel except the GT-X which requires you use Premium fuel. If you are using the correct fuel then your engine may be out of time, which will cause it to ping. Have the timing checked by a professional. If it is not out of time and you are using the correct fuel then it more than likely has carbon buildup. Purchase a can of Seafoam Engine Treatment and follow the directions on the can to inject Seafoam into the intake to remove carbon deposits. You may have to treat it more than once. Also add a can to a full tank of fuel. You can purchase Seafoam at most auto and marine parts stores. I have used it many times to remove carbon deposits and it does work. If this does not solve your problem then make sure you do not have a vacuum leak. If not, then you may be forced to move up to a higher octane fuel. Pinging will eventually damage your engine so you must do whatever necessary to prevent it.
How do you change rear light bulbs on a Ford Laser 1.3 hatch 1994?
I have a 1990 laser and I think they should be the same. In the boot/trunk just behind where the lights are, there should be a removable cover which gives access to the back of the lights, disconnect the light that needs replacing and remove the bulb. For more information consult your car's owners manual it should have all the information in there.

Where is the engine number on a Ford Laser 1990 1.6 east west motor?
It is usually part of the VIN eg: 6FPAAA-UK4RLL11111, and the engine number being the latter part of the number showing on the plate circled with a box stamp.
Alternatively it located at the front of the engine block to the right, low down where the gear box meets the engine, horizontal to the left of where the gearbox mounts to the chassis, it is trickey to get to and you may need to clean that area of the block before it will be visible. and recommend using a torch.
Does a 1988 ford laser have a VIN?
All cars have a vin number. It should be located on one of the plates that are pop rivetted to the firewall in the engine bay.

First of all, it is important to know the definition of laser:
LASER - LIGHT AMPLIFICATION BY STIMULATED EMISSION OF RADIATION
A laser functions as an oscillator or a resonance of light (inside the laser device) in the sense that the radiation is produced by the power supply which cause an active lasing medium to emit electrons at a certain frequency (thereby giving a light). These electrons are emitted inside the device and reflected back and forth by a mirror numerous number of times. The in turn excite other electrons, thereby emitting photos (light) from the lasing medium. Therefore one action results in further action. Thus completing the definition - emission is for light in form photons due to the electrons which are a form of radiation and they are amplified inside. This produces a beam that is parralel in nature and is emitted out eventually through the small slit (source). By exciting electrons with different energies, you can emit light at different wavelengths, thereby different colours.
Hope this helps.
