No. Factory equipped Mustangs cannot match the Viper's V-10 motor.

2009 Ford Mustang GT V-8 claimed top speed = 145 mph

Keep in mind Dodge may have claimed a slightly higher top speed than actual to appeal to wealthy speed demons who can afford to insure such a car, while Ford may have claimed a lower than real life number to keep the Mustang affordable to insure.

Even with that taken into consideration a Viper would run down a factory built Mustang in short order. Even specialty built Mustangs like the Roush and Saleen models would have a hard time keeping up.

However the Mustang's lighter weight and handling will give it an edge in some aspects of driving and racing.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 2011 is better than a Ford Mustang GT 2011.

The timing curve is controlled by the PCM (powertrain control module) and can be changed by having a custom tuning shop recalibrate the cars PCM...if you suspect the car is out of time you can have it check by a repair shop with a scan tool...if it is out of time it may need a new timing set or timing chain.

It's under the car close to the fuel tank. Follow the fuel line that comes off the top of tank and you'll see it. It'd under a metal shield.

When you open the hood on top near the head light there are two metal tabs pull up on them till they stop or come out then pull the head light forward disconnect the connector and turn the ring around the bulb counter clockwise to install reverse procedure

Mustangs adoption fee is usually around 250$ or sometimes 400$ but usually stays around these prices. They are usuall this price so that people dont just buy them for the fun of hurting them or abusing these wild horses also the money pays for any costs of water,feed, and transportation for the horse while owned by the last owners.
