Why is the green river Wyoming formation green?
It is not green. It is named for the location it was first described, the Green River which is a river in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. The Green River is 730 mi long and the basin is 48,100 sq mi. The formation is made of lake deposits that are from the Eocene, 53.5- 48.5 million years ago. It is famous for well preserved fish fossils and oil shale
How many appendages do trilobites have?
Trilobites typically have a total of 18 appendages, which include a pair of antennae, three pairs of maxillae (mouthparts), and five to seven pairs of legs, depending on the species. The legs were primarily used for locomotion, while the antennae and maxillae played roles in sensory perception and feeding. These appendages were critical for their survival in various marine environments during the Paleozoic era.

What would the relative age of two rocks tell you about them?
That information would enable you to discern, determine, and conclude, and
confidently to state to others, which rock was created before the other, and
which rock was formed subsequent to the other.

What does a fossil of an ancient shark in Kansas indicate?

What three kinds of information can geologist gather from a study of fossils?
The three kinds of information can geologists gather from a study of fossils is amber fossil, trace fossil, and the carbon film. Wait a second, no that's not right. Those are just three kinds of fossils. Those aren't three kinds of information.
1. Fossils tell scientists the types and sizes of animals that lived in the distant past;
2. Tests made on fossils tell scientists approximately how long ago they lived;
3. The types of materials in which fossils are found tell scientists the area where the fossil first died, the cooling rates of some different materials, and the times of lava flows, as well as other items of information;
4. Comparing different fossils of the same type, from different areas, tells scientists the times of certain geologic events, such as an ice age, or a volcanic eruption;5. The layers of rock (or soil) in which fossils are found can tell scientists some of the geologic history of the geographical area in which the fossil was found. For example, sometimes seashell fossils are found in the rock of high mountains! That can only mean that the high mountain was once on the floor of an ocean or river. Over time, plate movement, volcanic eruption, and earthquakes have moved the old ocean floor (or river bottom) 'way up to the top of a mountain
There you go.

Good luck!
Hi
If you're still looking at Wateworld Pools ..I can't say enough good things about them and how well they treated me. The do what they say for the price that they quote you. We had out pool installed about 4 seasons ago and we could not be happier. The fiberglass looks as good today as the day they delivemthered and installed it. If you give them the hole to the specs they tell you and give them proper access to the hole the pool will fit like a glove.. Oh, the pool has enough flex to weather the NJ winters with no problem.. Think of it as a boat turned inside out ..Happy Swimming !

Why would you not find trachodon with wooley mammoth fossils?
Trachodon and woolly mammoths lived in different time periods. Trachodon, a type of dinosaur, lived during the Late Cretaceous period around 70 million years ago, while woolly mammoths lived during the Pleistocene epoch around 2 million years ago. Their existence did not overlap, so their fossils would not be found together.
