If you recycle does it save fossil fuel?

It does to an extent but not to the extent that most (green thinking) people think it does.
For instance:

plastic can be recycled but only 12% of recycled plastic can be added to virgin material. Any more and it degrades the quality of the finished product. What's more many plastic items cannot be made from recycled plastic at all such as water pipes for drinking, medical plastic et.c. and a lot of plastics & vinyls cannot be recycled at all.

Metals on the other hand are highly recyclable, but again it causes problems. 30% of steel can be lost to slag caused by impurities injected by recycled metal. That's 30% more energy needed to boil the metal. Aluminium is probably the best material to recycle as it is more pure and easier to recycle.

Car's are not really a good product to recycle as they are made of many different materials which take fuel to disassemble in preparation for recycling. Also there is a case which says that scrapping cars for air emissions earlier in their life is counter productive as it takes more energy and create more pollutants to recycle the vehicle than to continue using the old car for a few more years.

Waste separation for recycling, as done in Germany by house holders can promote increased disease problems as the requirement is to store rotting food which is usually done inside the owners kitchen.

In conclusion, recycling is a good idea in theory but we are not at a stage yet where we gain a huge benefit. However it is a step in the right direction.

Why do most animals become a fossil?

Most animals do not become fossils because the conditions for fossilization are rare. Fossilization typically occurs when an animal is quickly buried in sediment and undergoes a process called mineralization, where minerals replace the organic material. Many animals decay or are consumed by scavengers before this process can occur. Only a small fraction of all organisms that have lived on Earth are preserved as fossils.

How are fossils dated and how does this relate to phylogenetic trees?

There are many different methods of dating fossils including their geological stratum and carbon dating. Phylogenetic trees are dated by their geological stratum because they have something called the COI gene that shows they have roots from a long time ago.

Can fossils include animals worm burrows and termite nests?

yes. and feces, and gizzard stone piles, and petroleum, and leaf/feather impressions, etc. All fossils.

What dinosaur fosils are found in Hawaii?

How is two fossils evidence of the continental drift?

You can tell because if that form of species originated in a certain area and if the fossil is found in a different area or continent you can tell that the species traveled then the land mass or super continent Pangaea separated and that species landed over there

Example: If a species of animal originated in Africa and that specie was found in South America you can tell that that specie during the Pangaea time that species traveled, died, then the continents divided into the different forms to form the new day land form

Would You find fossils in quartz?

Quartz is a mineral not a rock. Fossils can be found associated with quartz in sedimentary rock not inside the quartz.

What are some nutrients found in kefir?

As far as I know (from my experience working in a health food store) is that Kefir is very similar to yogurt, so I am guessing that the nutrients are about the same. Protien, calcium ect. HOWEVER! what makes kefir special is it's abundance of microorganisms or "pro-biotics" as they are called. These include acidophiolis, biffidious (ok I honestly can't spell them) anyway, these are important for your digestive track. basically they get depited, mainly through the use of anti-biotics and poor diet, but these are very important in supporting your immune-system. As I am sure you know a large percentage of our immunological functioning takes place in the digestive system. The probiotics destroy "bad' bactiria, and also eat excess yeast in our systems. Kefir is also really tastey! However, if you belive you may need a probiotic boost. I would suggest taking capsules that contain them, this way the probiotics won't be killes by your stomach acids. Also, if you are lactose intolerant capsules are a good alternative. Of course this information is not intenned to be perscriptive only a personal suggestion, based on my personal, and albeit, limited experience. But as a personal testimony, I saw a marked improvement in my overall health and even lost a few pounds after I started consuming probiotics on a daily basis.

Pokemon how long does it take to resurrect fossils?

Why did dinosaurs die out suddenly after 65 years?

NOT 65 years: 65 MILLION years; and not "after": at. That is, the dinosaurs died out 65 million years AGO, after having been around oh, about 140 million years.

As to why that happened, most probably a massive body from deep space (comet? asteroid?) crashed into Earth and upset the ecological balance so that many types of animals died out.

What is fuel and some examples of fuel?

Fuel is any material that is capable of releasing energy when its chemical or physical structure is altered. Fuel releases its energy either through chemical means, such as burning, or nuclear means, such as nuclear fission or nuclear fusion. An important property of a useful fuel is that its energy can be stored to be released only when needed, and that the release is controlled in such a way that the energy can be harnessed to produce work. All carbon-based life forms-from microorganisms to animals and humans-depend on and use fuels as their source of energy. Their cells engage in an enzyme-mediated chemical process called metabolism that converts energy from food or solar power into a form that can be used to sustain life. Additionally, humans employ a variety of techniques to convert one form of energy into another, producing usable energy for purposes that go far beyond the energy needs of a human body. The application of energy released from fuels ranges from heat to cooking and from powering weapons to combustion and generation of electricity. Examples: Alcohol Fossil fuels are hydrocarbons, primarily coal, fuel oil or natural gas, formed from the remains of dead plants and animals. Gasoline or petrol Some well known alternative fuels include biodiesel, ethanol, butanol, chemically stored electricity (batteries and fuel cells), hydrogen, methane, natural gas, vegetable oil, biomass, and peanut oil.

Is seashell a fossil?

What do paleontologists use to determine the actual age of a rock?

They use a method called Carbon Dating, which allows them to get a really precise measurement on when the rock, or fossil (usually a fossil is what they Carbon Date) was either made or destroyed. (though even when destroyed, a sample can still easily tell them what time it was from.)

What would be better to become a fossil a fish or a mouse?
