Did the concentration camps accomplish all of Hitler's goals?
No, it obviously didn't. The whole idea failed because whenever he got on the streets, Jews secretly came out and threw garbage and other stuff at him and yelling obscene/racist words to him and the Nazis, causing him to turn emo and change his hair to the little...erm...strip of black tar on his head and below his nose. he then went suicidal due to large amounts of secretly cutting himself (observed by German doctors before his burial), self-poisoning and overdose of medication.
Also, the Jews were bullying all the Nazis, and this is one reason why Hitler tried killing them.

What front was the most important to World War 2?
Estern Front, because more of the German Casualties and Bloodiest Battles that decided the Fate of the war where there. I would have thought that the most important battle was the Battle of the Atlantic. If Germany had won this battle England would have had to surrender from lack of supplies. There would not have been an "Aircraft base" from which to launch attacks on Germany, aircraft could not fly the Atlantic and return, the German navy would have isolated the U.S.on the east and Japan on the west ,the U.S. population not wanting to enter the war anyway. This would have allowed Germany to bring all their forces against Russia, who I think would have been defeated. We sometimes forget that we came within an ace of losing the war a few times, it wasn't the push-over Hollywood would have us believe. Thanks Navy for saving us!!and giving the army and airforce a chance to operate.

Why did Germany get involved in ww1?
There are a number of reasons why Germany became involved in WW1. To summarise them they are:
1. From 1900 onwards Germany was a rising Industrial power. It needed outlets for the bulk of its manufactured products. Unfortunately for Germany most of the areas to which it might export, or from which it might obtain raw materials were controlled by Britain.
2. The British navy at that time ensured that no predator could impinge on its contacts.
3. realising that the only way for Germany to expand into world markets or obtain a 'place in the sun' i.e to have some leverage at international diplomatic meetings was to CHALLENGE BRITAIN.
4. The challenge could only be mounted if Germany could outstrip British NAVAL STRENGTH. Hence in 1904 with the passage of a naval Bill, the race began to outbuild the British Navy. The Germans were not successful in this.
5. The Germans believed that because of the 'alliances' that Britain had with France and Russia in particular, that Germany was being encircled. It thus sought to offset this by an alliance with Austria Hungary.
6. When the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire was assassinated in Sarajevo by a Serb Nationalist this provided the key to the German involvement in WW1 as follows:
a) Eventually Austria Hungary declared war on Serbia, A SLAV NATION.
b) Serbia appealed to Russia (THE SO CALLED PROTECTOR OF THE SLAVS) for help
c) Russia, uncertain of its prowess to defeat Austria Hungary, appealed to France for help. This was granted, especially as Russia owed France a great deal of money.
d) with this coalition against it Austria Hungary appealed to Germany, who in order to maintain the confidence of its ally, agreed to fight alongside Austria Hungary should it come to all out war.
e) Germany was not certain of i. the extent that Britain would commit to all out war ii. that Britain would be able to survive an all out war against the Central Powers.
Finally, the outcome would settle once and for all the German ability to expand into foreign markets if it could defeat the British navy.
One might say, therefore, that Germany willingly allowed itself to drift iinto war, inspired by the boastings of the Kaiser and the German Military Commanders.

What were enigma machines like?
Enigma machines were essentially a system of rotors that were set a certain way every day. All of the German Navy had a schedule for which way to set the rotors, so that all of the machines would come up with the same results. When the keys were pressed, the rotors turned and came out with a different letter for each key press. For instance, if you pressed the letter "E" three times, you might come out with three random letters such as "D", "Z", and "K". Because the machines were set all the same way, they came up with the same random letters. The scrambled message was then sent to the recipient, who did the entire process in reverse to de-code the message. Previous codes had bases in literature or other media and were relatively easy to crack, while Enigma codes were mathematically based and had literally millions if not billions of solutions.

Who were famous Nazis during World War 2?
There were no Nazi's in WW1. The war began as a result of many tensions all over the world. Most notably the assassination of the Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophia, he was the heir to the Austro Hungarian throne and was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip, who was a member of the Black Hand movement. This was a Bosnian terrorist group, who were infuriated over Bosnia not having independence. Serbia (a large slavonic country) was blamed for this terrorist attack and hence Austro Hungary gave the Serbians an ultimatum. Which basically meant either become part of the Austro Hungarian empire or go to war with them. The Russians backed up Serbia and the two countries went to war with Austria Hungary. Austria Hungary was in alliance with Germany and Italy and hence those countries were too at war. Russia was allied with France and hence she too was involved. Britain later became involved when the Germans marched through Belgium (a neutral country) as part of their Shlieffen Plan.

Why did chamberlain try to avoid war with Hitler?
war is nothing more than a fight on a grand scale. So let's scale it back to something you can relate to. A fight is not something most of us enjoy, but some people relish conflict and violence. So I'll assume you are one who doesn't enjoy violent conflict. Have youeverbeenin a fight? Did you try to avoid the fight? Did you fight? Why? Fighting can be profitable and those who regularly engage in fighting know how reluctant most people are to fight. They get their way, a payoff of sorts through intimidation and don't have to fight nearly as often as is just. A bully usually never has had to fight a real competitive fight. Ergo, usually the bully is deterred the first time he is faced down. On rare occasions, the conflict is even enough or the instigator makes himself too costly to ignore and the reluctant opponent must fight. Now scale that back up. Politicians depend on popularity but despots depend on overwhelming force to intimidate their people into submission. The despot hasn't met the opponent that can stand up to him. Neville Chamberlain led a nation which did not want a fight and he tried desperately to avoid one. Hitler on the other hand was leading a nation spoiling for a fight due to the judgments (largely unjust) after WWI. Hitler had amassed enormous military might and Germany wanted to flex their muscle. Hitler was horrible to Jews and Christians and political opponents but he had the backing of the German populous. When Chuchill took office, he had to raise England's desire for a fight to face Hitler. Otherwise England was going to succumb to German rule as France and Poland had. They had to fight no matter how badly they preferred to avoid it.
What was one of Germany's greatest battle defeats in 1943?
The German defeat at Stalingrad on 2 February, 1943 was a great victory for the Soviets and a huge loss for the Germans. They were under-supplied and outnumbered, and the Red Army took advantage of this. They were forced to retreat, but not before taking 815,000 casualties.
