The pain is usually caused by inflammations in the bowel from your immune system reacting to the gluten you put in your body. There is some anti inflammatory medicine you can get at a local drug store or you can ask your doctor to be prescribed for a drug called prilosec which I have used and it helps greatly! Can you eat oatibix on a gluten free diet?
I was reading that some Gluten Intolorents can eat oats so on our monthly shop, I picked up 'Oatibix bites' and 'Oatibix bites with Apple and Rasins'. You can also get a cranberry version but I think I'd find this rather bitter and I am aware of a chocolate and rasin variation but this wasn't on the shelves. You can purchase the standards Oatibix biscuits, like Weetabix biscuits. However, there is actually a difference between the Oatibix biscuits and the bites:

- Malted Barely extract is unsuitable for Gluten intolorents/ celiacs therefore, I thought the Bites would be a safer option. Moreover, I think these are actually healthier because they contain 'Prebiotic Oligofructose' - a natural prebiotic for the immune and digestive system.

They are naturally gluten free but are subject to cross contamination. On the Goya brand it says may contain wheat. Arrowhead Mills is the only one that I have been able to find that will list their split peas as gluten free on their website.

I find most of the time an all purpose gluten free flour will work in most recipes. Different flours (rice, garbanzo, amaranth, etc.) have different tastes and different textures, so what you want to use depends on the recipe you are following. Yes, it is a member of the same family of grains as wheat. Avoid rye if you have coeliac disease.
The grains in question are wheat, rye, barley, kamut, spelt, and triticale. There are other grains that have gluten but not the same type that causes a reaction in Celiac patients, such as corn.
If you have a wheat allergy, not coeliac, you CAN have rye.
