How does one use his or her false vocal cords for screaming?
First you need to know if your cut out for screaming. If you smoke, stop otherwise screaming will never be easy and can be quite painful. Next, do you sing? Sometimes screaming can take away from you singing abilities, although that has never been proved. Last, do you have breathing or respiratory problems like asthma? Screaming takes a lot of air when your in your first year or so of practice, meaning your breathing heavy after songs.
If your okay to be screaming, heres how you do it.
You start, every single time when your learning, by warming up. Anything will do, just get your throat ready. Find the warmup that suits you, I would recommend pressing the keys of a piano in one octave, c to b flat, and go up and down twice without going into falsetto (the voice you would use to do a mario impression).
Then you need water, which can be any temperture but preferably lukewarm just because cold or chilled water can constrict your vocal chords which is okay when your good at screaming but can be painful when your learning.
Then, and you have probably heard this millions of times if you looked at youtube tutorials, you breathe in through, not into your diaghragm. Ait goes to your lungs. Always has, always will. By diaghragmatic breathing I mean breathing in so that your stomach pushes out. A lot of people say that when they do that their stomach goes inwards. If that happens then either your doing it wrong or something is medically out of place. Figure out which.
Once you've done that, learn how to push the air out using your diaghragm. I cant help you with this, its something you have to just work out for yourself.
Then once your doind that, go for it. Try to achieve a rough sound. Note, if its painful your doing it wrong, although sometimes pain can just be because your learning. If after a week of practice pain is still there, try experiminting with your method a bit and find a way of making it painless. And really thats it. Dont expect to get it immediately, like I can do stuff like this naturally, yet some people cant do it at all however long they practice. Just dont force yourself.
A modern Goth is a fan of Goth music, which is like Post-Punk except gloomier and somewhat mystical at times. Goth bands include Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Alien Sex Fiend, Cinema Strange, Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows, Corpus Delicti, and The Wake. Instruments commonly used in Goth music include traditional rock instruments, synthesizer, and drum machine, amongst others, depending on the band.
However, many people these days don't know what Goth actually is because the media distorted its meaning. The media portrays very un-Goth things as goth, like Tripp pants, Hot Topic, Cradle of Filth, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Combichrist. NONE of those bands are goth! The reason that they are confused is that they have dark themes, however they fall into categories such as (respectively) Black Metal, Nu-Metal, Shock Rock, and Industrial/EBM. Note: People that wear Tripp pants and listen to these bands are often called Mallgoths by people in the goth community, so called due to their love of Hot Topic.
The media has also made people believe that Goths are violent and often satanist. However, Goth is actually overall a peaceful subculture. There are Goths that follow all kinds of different religions (or don't follow any religion). The point is that there is no inherent religious belief of Goth.

Goths are people who are 'part' of the gothic subculture which usually means wearing black and other darker velvet tones. There are many different types of goth. Some of the more 'famous' ones are the romantic goths who usually wear lace,velvet and generally elegant and spookily decadent clothing. There are also the hardcore deathrockers, etc.
Goths appreciate the beauty in death and darkness and we embrace the fact that life isn't always happy and perfect. And we LOVE Halloween!
Goths tend to think outside the box. They don't *only* focus on the now, but the past, and the future. They tend to look at the darker side of things, but that doesn't they're all "My soul is a dark abyss... my favourite roses are black... Blood is how I feel better..." that's a poser. :P Yes, some Goths say blood is calming, or find it nice to see, but not necessarily see their own whenever they're frustrated. Goths do like Nature, like flowers, vines, moss... they also like rocks. Like old ones from castles. They wear black to stand out, not because they're sad. They wear others colours, too, of course, but primarily black. Long skirts, black and capes, oh, corsets too, are worn because they're Medieval, not so they can mirror Vampires. Ummm... They're called "goths" not "gothics." The Goth subculture has all but died out now due to emo kids aka posers stealing their style.
ANSWERI have to disagree with the person over me, since he's confusing emo with gothics.I am gothic so I know what it is.
First: We don't always wear black. I actually wear yellow, red, blue at time.
Second: "color of sadness"(black) has nothing to do with that. It's just that we tend to explore darker subjects than most people. For exemple, I read things on death and vampirism.
Third: We don't want attention, people give us attention.We get attention because we're different and unusual. That's all. ^.^
Fourth: Most of us are more intelligent, mature and open-minded than most people. I did a IQ test and I got 130, which is over the normal for a 13 years old girl like me. Also, I never get into fights because I don't care about what other people say about me. And even though I'm goth, I listen to Paramore, Taylor Swift, Kiss, Twisted Sister, etc...It doesn't mean I'm goth I ONLY listen to goth. I do listen to goth metal though, like Lacuna Coil, Darkwell, Lunatica, Nightwish, Evanescence, Within Temptation, etc...

The answer above is very correct. I'm a goth too. One of the reasons why we wear black is began we like to asscociate the color wheel with our emotions. Being Goth doesn't just mean the music. It is also to do with our characteristics. We enjoy the darker side of life more than others. I myself am a mixture of punk (a little) and Emo and goth. I am VERY emotionally unstable. I like to wear the color of my emotion which can usually be black but it changes alot too.

To not be goth is really hard. Coming from a goth person. I used to always wear pink until my parents split. So the depression got a hold of me. So if you have a problem talk to a therapist or your parents. I still wear black clothes a lot but that's because I like the color. But once in a while I wear bright colors. So not being goth is hard. It's sort of like drugs or cigarettes. But you have to talk to someone and feel better.

What are signs of someone being goth?
You need to feel goth to be goth. You don't have to dress goth, or write goth. You have to be someone that thinks about death and sorrow and the dead. In fact, a goth could live his/her life without ANYONE knowing that he/she is goth, except for themselves. It's about being goth inside. But if you really want to get into goth alot and you can manage to dress goth without your parents freaking out, then go for it!
Zombie Girl is primarily known as an electronic music project rather than a traditional gothic band. It blends elements of industrial, synthpop, and dark wave, which can appeal to gothic music fans. However, its classification leans more towards electronic music with a darker aesthetic rather than fitting strictly into the gothic genre.
It's just 'Six'. That was his 'lucky' number when he was younger. When he played on sports teams, he always requested that his number was 6. 'Andy Six' is a character that he created when he was younger to escape from his reality. He hates it when people write 'Sixx' with the two x's. He looks up to Nikki Sixx and all but he doesn't want it to seem like he's copying Nikki Sixx and he just prefers 'A6' or 'Andy Six'. Really, he goes by 'Andy Biersack' now because he has accepted himself 100%. Not that he never did. He just considers 'Andy Six' as a nick name now.

Goths originated in a place called whitby, North Yorkshire. i have been going there since i was a child and it is truely 'home of the goths'. Many people believe it begun in a london alley witch is wrong that is the punks. if you get to visit whitby or search it up you will soon see why and how goths originated there. so thats it from WHERE they originated.
