Assuming I have understood your question correctly, walking down on a guitar basically means stepping down note by note at a steady pace while playing. Similar to walking down some stairs. It does not refer to any particular notes or scales, just as long as the notes generally move downwards. Or if you are talking about a particular song, it will refer to the one used in that song.

And that's not as daft as it sounds. An unusual but not unheard-of technique is to remove the octave (usually e, a and d, sometimes also g) strings from a 12-string, leaving only the unison strings and resulting in a 9-string or 8-string guitar. This retains the chorused sound of the higher strings but removes the octave doubling of the lower strings.

Another technique is known as "Nashville tuning". This can also be done on a six-string but there is no reason why it shouldn't be applied to a 12-string. It consists of using ONLY the octave and unison strings from a 12-string set, giving a 6-string with a re-entrant tuning which can be used to double a conventional rhythm part, or to produce a less bass-heavy chordal part.

By this i take it that you mean the "jack plug to jack plug lead" This depends on how it is broke, if it has stopped working then chances are there is a break in the wire somewhere, check the jack plugs at each end if they have a screw type jack plug, unscrew the cover and check for one of the wires being off, if it is, then it needs to be soldered. If the jack plugs are still wired up then the break is in the lead, if you plug the guitar into the amplifier and feel along the lead whilst striking the string you may be able to locate the area of damaged flex and cut the lead back. On the other hand, if the lead has moulded jack plugs then its not really worth repairing as it can cost more for new jack plugs and then its trial and error, you can cut off the jack plugs solder the new ones on, however, if it turns out there is a break elsewhere in the lead then this will have been for nothing.

Most guitar players will play Bb either as an E-shaped barre chord at the sixth fret:

or as an A-shaped barre chord at the first fret:

D string - index finger on third pinky on eighth fret

A string - covered by barring all six string with index finger at first fret

low E string - don't play

Yes the fender guitars have great quality, as long as you buy one made in the USA or Mexico. China and Japan make fender squire guitars but they are cheaply made and don't last as long. If you are looking at buying a fender guitar then look at a Mexican or American stratocaster. That is one of the best guitars that fender makes and the best places they make them. The Mexican strat. will last you about 3 to 5 years and the USA strat. about your whole life. Hope that helps.

It really all depends on the guitar, some are cheap like the GRG170DX, and some are expensive like the JEM.

Nothing is worth more any someone will be willing to pay no matter what it is unless its' for sentimental reasons. The best way to fix a price on just about anything is to track similar items on eBay. I have been an eBay user for years and find that almost everytime, the price settles to it's real worth when the bidding is over.

The timbre of a guitar is guitar timbre. I'm not sure you know what timbre is. It's the sound an instrument or voice has, so it can't be described, only heard. So, whichever guitar you have, the way it sounds is its timbre. On the same pitch your singing voice and your guitar, or your flute or whatever, sound different than each other, that difference is the timbre. Timbre cannot be described in numerical terms.

There are different grading systems, so grade 8 may not mean the same thing to everybody. Talent and dedication vary a lot from person to person, too, so any amount of time is just an estimate. Most grading systems are based on an average student with a reasonable amount of work advancing one or two grades per year, so we might guess 4 to 8 years, As long as you are making progress, don't worry about time so much.
