What are some tips to learning a back handspring?

When first learning a back handspring, you start off in a sitting position. This is like sitting in a chair. Then you take a big swing, but don't let your chest fall while swinging. After you swing you lean backwards, pushing off your toes ,pushing your hips up and jumping back onto your hands. When first learning a back handspring, you MUST receive a spot from a trained coach on mats. Failure to do so could result in serious injury. Try a cheerleading or gymnastics facility

How do you overcome the fear of doing a backflip?

To overcome the fear, you should practice back handsprings on a trampoline, since it shouldn't hurt if you ever miss. Then practice back flips on the trampoline. Eventually, you'll develop more confidence and won't be as scared to flip backwards. When you're comfortable (and certain that you can do it on land), practice back handsprings on land. After you've mastered back handsprings (on land), practice jumping higher, so you could end up doing back flips instead without needing your hands.

I have had trouble with this before but you just have to work on it. First you have to stretch!!!!!!!!!!!! Do your ankles and wrists and a bridge with your feet together and head out. It is reccomended you know how to do a hand stand. Practice a bridge and getting up. Also a tick tock gettingup which is similar. Try it with spotting to. You need to have very strong stomach muscles try going into a brige on one foot and getting up instantly First get into a handstand. second push the strongest foot forward third push up on one foot as soon as possible dont hesitate to put the weaker one down while your getting up.

How do you execute a back walkover?

You go into a back bridge then kick one of your legs back then the other one. To perform a back walkover, you should stand with both arms straight and up right. Your favorite foot ( I am a righty so I will use my right foot while explaining) in front of you with your leg extended, straight and toes pointed. As you reach backwards for the floor (as if you were attempting a back bend) you will pull your right leg over with you as you are reaching backward for the floor. Your legs will stay separated the entire time in as big of a split as you can make them. As your foot are approaching the ground you will land with your right leg first (straight and toes pointed) and arms should still be on your ears (or straight). Before planting your left leg on the ground you should show a "tee" position with your body. Because you are bent over at a 90 degree angle your right leg being straight and on the ground with your left leg still in the air directly behind you and your arms on your ears, it will look like the letter "T". Then you will plant your left leg on the on the ground into a lunge position.

How do you learn a back walkover?

Before you learn a back walkover you should learn a bridge. A bridge is where you stand legs apart and lean back into a bridge position you can do it with legs apart if you are doing it from standing. Then you need to work on kicking over if you can get someone to spot you if you are an adult then do the best you can. Anyway once you get good at a bridge kick over. Try doing it with your leg pointed in front of you. Try to get a perfect split in the air! After this put your leg in the air and go back into a back walkover!!!

How do you avoid your arms from hitting your hips when restabbing while doing the windmill?

If your arms keep hitting your hips, you might have an instinctive habit of keeping your limbs close to your body, fearing that your hands might slip, so that your feet can catch the floor. To avoid your limbs from being too close to each other, try to spread them out and away from each other.

Also, you probably should never restab when doing windmill. Instead, just keep going. If you've watched Step Up 3D, the dancers doing windmill never seem to restab but just keep going in a smooth circular motion. As you're trying to do windmill and you're about to be face-down again, you should probably not restab but immediately continue another cycle of windmill.

Good luck and keep trying! No professional breakdancer ever became an expert by giving up!
