What is the best way to learn to parkour?
Try Gymnastics training and weightlifting. While Gymnastics probably doesn't sound like it has any place in the action-packed world of Parkour, it really helps when you're navigating above, by, and through physical objects. Weightlifting is good practice too, considering that you will be doing a lot of climbing if you want to be very good at it the art of Parkour. Unlike gymnastics though, parkour is done wearing tanktops, loose fitting jeans, and sneakers, instead of a tight one-piece that looks like footed pajamas. Parkour is where you're navigating around, through, and above physical objects, whether it's a jungle or London rooftops. For practice, go to a vacant playground with a playset and practice jumping through holes, over rails, and try to swing your arms and land on your toes when jumping long distances. Remember though, start out slow. Nobody ever jumps six feet over a rail on their first parkour run. Message me for more Parkour questions. Live it. Love it. Jump it.

Backbends are normally just a code name for "The Bridge" When doing a backbend, you either lie down and bring up your stomach to where it looks like a bridge, Gymnists are able to do it standing, I'm no gymnist, but I can stand and bend my body backwards and then catch myself before I hit the ground. Hope this helps, I'm 16 and is still getting used to these.

Why are the Canadiens called the habs?
The original settlers in Quebec were sometimes referred to as inhabitants. This became shortened to habitants. The original Montreal Canadian jerseys contained a large letter C with a small letter h within the C . People made the mistake of thinking the H meant habitants. The term Habs is derived from this. In actuality the CH stood for Canadiens Hockey Club.

What are some tips for successful learning?
Patience, dedication, passion, hard work, perseverance, and mental toughness are very important character traits in gymnastics. Get a notebook a make a list of the skills that your good at, and the skills that you need to work on. Make small goals each day, and write you small progressions and accomplishments each time you go to practice. Be patient with yourself--don't expect yourself to be able to master a skill in a week. Gymnastics is a very difficult sport that requires extreme body control, flexibility, and strength. It takes time to master skills. Make sure that you have a good coach that has experience and knowledge, and knows what he/she is doing. A good method I found helpful was to work on my strength and flexibility at home, and my skills at the gym. Make sure that you do not work on skills and stunts at home, as that can be dangerous. Instead, stretch and do conditioning exercises at home. V-ups and sit-ups are good for core strength. You can do these in between commercials while you're watching TV. Plain old push-ups are good for arms. If you are not strong enough to do a push-up, modify it by getting on your knees. Lunges are good for the legs.
And most importantly, have fun! I took gymnastics for a while before I had to quit due to injuries and other health problems, but there is not a day that goes by that I do not miss the gym. Enjoy yourself, be safe, and never give up!

How can you not be scared of doing forward rolls and do them properly?
I love this question because I have lived through it too! :) I used to be scared of doing forward rolls, but now since I can do a bunch of other stuff like aerials, round off backhandpspring, a forward roll seems easy to me! First, i'd suggest a gymnastics/tumbling place to teach you, but if your desperate, I'll try to help as much as I can. First, you have to remember when to striaghten your arms and when to curl them back up at the right time. If you do not learn this, it will be difficult. Second, you have to know how to do a sumersault. If you know how to do a sumersault, it would be much easier. Third, I'd suggest a spotter. So, striaghten your arms in the beginning all the way to where you kneel down and get ready for your bending over. that's where you need to learn how to do a sumersault. And third, have the spotter to make sure you did it straight. That's where all these things link together, these are three easy rules to learn how to do one. And one of the easiest without a gymnastics' coach.
Hope this helps!

What are some styles of handstands?
I am an 11 year old previous gymnast. There are only about two styles of handstands there is one called pull up handstand, and the classic handstand. In a classic handstand you will want to go up with a straight leg, and pointed toes. Keep your elbows completely straight and your shoulders over the rest of your body. If that makes sense. In a pull up handstand you start with your legs spread about two and a half feet apart then you rest your hands on the floor without jumping AT ALL you then lift your legs into and classic handstand. This takes stomach muscle, arm muscle, butox muscle and most of all leg muscle. Good luck!
What you need to be able do to be put in a gymnastics squad?
nothing really just be in shape ready to fall and have a blast oh yeah if you want to be in a real competing one you need some money
A handstand is a seemingly simple skill that takes a long time to master. The best way to learn how to do a handstand is to first build your arm and core strength up. You can do this a number of ways. For arms I would suggest push ups and plank holds. For core, I would suggest hollow body holds and crunches. Once your strength is where it needs to be to hold yourself up, you will be ready to try a handstand against a wall. Start in a squatted position almost against the wall. Then walk your feet up (with stomach facing wall) until you reach a handstand position and hold it as long as you can. Once you have this down and can hold it for more than 30 seconds, you are ready to try a real handstand! At the beginning, try some lever hops. These are done by lifting your back leg as you lower your hands and then performing a small "hop" with your other foot when your hands touch the floor, so that for a short moment you are only on your hands. Don't worry about bringing your feet together on a lever hop. These are just used to get the feeling of all of your weight being on your hands. Once you have those down, try to bring your feet a little closer together each time until they are all the way together in your handstand. After that, work on fixing the form of your handstand by getting your shoulders directly over your hands and pushing your feet up towards to ceiling.
