Well, as much as I don't think that matters whether or not he makes waste, he most likely does. After all, every creature on the planet does. Besides, Sonic eats chili dogs, doesn't he? So where do you think that chili dog would be in 20 minutes?

The desert hedgehog, as its name suggests, inhabits desert and arid scrub, mostly in Africa and the Middle East. To that end, it needs a number of adaptations to help it survive these harsh conditions.

Firstly, it is a nocturnal animal, hunting for food at night time. This helps it to keep cool. During the day, the desert hedgehog stays within a small burrow that it digs to avoid the heat.

The desert hedgehog is covered with tiny, sharp spines. When the desert hedgehog is threatened by danger, its muscles contract (tighten) and pull the skin taut around its body. This enables it to roll into a ball so that its spines will stick out in all directions, providing a very effective, protective covering.

Since it is unlikely that "hedgehogs" are on any endangered species list - as a general rule you can be pretty sure it is not illegal to own them. HOWEVER - some municipalities may have zoning or health department rules that prohibit "harboring" wildlife within the limits of the city/town. Check with your local authorities.

Next, you should contact some breeders near you. Hedgehogs are not sold in Petco or Petsmart. Hedgehogs are also illegal in Alabama, California, Georgia, Hawaii and Utah. Here are some good points on hedgehogs: They can live in small apartments, unlike dogs and cats. They very rarely cause allergies. They don't need another hedgehog for company.

They all have great survival systems.

The hedgehog is covered in sharp spines or spikes. This protects them from predators by a) making them look unappetising and b) making them too painful to bite or pick up. When threatened, they will curl into a ball to cover their whole body with the spikes.

Penguins are very athletic swimmers. They can very easily outsmart a predator such as a shark by out-manoeuvring them with speed. Penguins also work as a team to try and get a predator off their scent by confusing them.

Cheetahs are fast and have sharp teeth and claws. The teeth and claws are actually designed for hunting rather than defence. The cheetah would rather prefer to run from the threat. However if they need to, they will use their razor-sharp claws and teeth in defence, especially to defend younger cheetahs.

All three also have weaknesses.

The hedgehog is vulnerable underneath, if they don't roll up quick enough or the predator sneaks up on them, then they won't be able to protect themselves quick enough.

The penguin is slow on land, unless they use their stomach as a sled on the ice. This makes if difficult for them to run from land-based predators.

The cheetah is vulnerable to human poachers with guns. Unfortunately they are hunted quite often for their skins.

hedgehogs make better pets in my opinion. They take up a small amount of space, don't shed, can be trained to use a litter box and are very unique. Rabbits and guinea pigs are also very jumpy.
