Statement was made by Hillary Clinton - 9/2/2005 She claims to be, but gets a lot of money from the HMOs, is against changing the social security tax from a regressive tax(that taxes poor people a higher percent) to a flat tax, and could start a war with Iran. She is a corporate Democrat. I think the answerer above doesn't understand liberal vs. conservative. It is not big government versus small government it's the interests of the common man vs. the interests of the wealthy. Bush is a big government conservative, because he contributes to the wealthy by increasing the size of government that helps them (subsidies, the war, etc.). Of course he decreased the part that helped the common man. Hillary wants to increase government in ways that will help the rich, while doing a little for the comman man. The things she will do for the common man (health care for example) will be so compromised that they will benefit a significant number of business interests. She also wants to completely destroy our medical system by socializing it. See for yourself the horror of the Canadian healthcare system with people desperately needing medical attention that come to the USA for it.
