The cheapest places to get cheap home theater decor will be salvage yards, thrift stores and online at eBay. Often companies will sell on unwanted theater props to these places, so it may take time but one can get a bargain.

Bose Acoustimass speakers are designed for a larger sized room. Places like theaters are ideal for these larger realistic high tech sounding speakers.

Replace the speaker wire with ones that have RCA type male plugs on one end and loose ends on the other. The loose ends are sometimes called PIG TAILS.

Vintage slide projectors can most likely be found at a local Pawn Shop. If one cannot find a Vintage slide projector as their local Pawn Shop, good places would be to look on Ebay, or Craigslist. People can be offering these projectors.

Home theatre remotes are similar to regular remotes used on the television. A couple differences are the volume and display control. These are used to better your televisions performance.

The sx-wnaj70 speakers are originally from a component system deck, which included dual cassette player recorders, AM/FM radio.. a bookshelf system. There are 2 wires that come from the back of each of these speakers. One set is for the normal speaker and the other is for the sub woofer. Top wires being the speaker, bottom wires being the sub woofer.

Just remove the RCA jacks by cutting them close to the RCA jack, strip them back about 1/2-1/4", add some solder to the ends to keep them tidy. Connect them to your speaker output terminals, with the white dashes being the red side and the plain wires being the black side.. I have a pair of these speakers and just finished hooking them up to my surround sound stereo receiver. These are a front set of speakers as noted on the ID tag w/serial number, so they were sold with multiple units other than your model, but they have many uses.. Good Luck

The best lcd flat screen tv to purchae would be a panasonic. They have a great picture and also sound quality. They are made well so the panels that they have will not fade over time.

Any speaker that has a RMS power rating (not peak or PMPO) of at least 100 watts, plus a subwoofer rated at a minimum of 200 watts should be sufficient.

It depends on the amount of space you have in your home. If you have the room for them, then yes! Otherwise just go for some nice speakers and a tv that fits.

That depends on how experienced you are in setting up home surround speakers and how complicated your home surround speakers are. If you have a simple home surround system, it should be relatively easy. Finding a good "how-to" site might be helpful!

Plug the audio system into the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks on the LCD. Go into the menu and change the signal to the jacks to FIXED if you can.

If a piece of the 1/8" plug has broken off inside your computer (usually from tripping over the cord), you will have to try to fish the piece out of the audio output with a very sharp, fine drill bit. You can also see if you can get at the back side of the jack from inside the computer. If not, you will have to replace your sound card, or motherboard if the sound system is on the main board.

It is moderately easy to install by yourself. It'll make it easier if you understand the surround sound speakers and determine the place to install the Bose beforehand.

HDMI and DVI are compatible connectors for video signals. There are two small but important differences.

First, DVI does not carry audio whereas HDMI includes it as part of the interface.


Second, and most important, is that HDMI supports HDCP, an encoding system to prevent signals being copied. To receive HDCP encoded signals, the display must be HDCP compliant (i.e. licensed to receive and decode the signals). DVI does not support HDCP and therefore a DVI monitor will see garbage rather than a good signal.


For protection of the content, there are no licensed HDMI to DVI converters on the market. Furthermore, the few unlicensed converters are not guaranteed to operate. Indeed, the HDCP system provides for disabling HDCP receivers in the future if they are using unauthorized license keys. HDCP has been introduced in response to people pirating material. Sadly, it also prevents legitimate use of some content such as display on DVI monitors as this question demonstrates.

It varies based on the televions provider. Most providers have the local chanels, movie channels, sports channels, and a couple education channels in HD. In time though this will increase and eventually everything will be in HD.

You will need a receiver with 5.1 RCA outputs. Purchase 3 adapters, 1/8" stereo femal to 2 RCA. You can then split out the front, center, sub and rear channels and send them to the speakers.

Be sure that all speaker connections are the proper polarity. This means that the red wire goes to the '+' side of all connections. If your wires are not color coded, inspect them carefully for a small ridge running along one of the wires, or some other means of telling the wires apart. Check polarity on all connections. It's also common for home theater receivers to be shipped with the subwoofer output to be switched on-(rolling off the 5 surround channels to divert that bass to the sub output.)So go into the setup menu and tell it no sub-unless of course you have one.

EDIT: You have to connect the speakers to the bass module, and the bass module to the receiver, otherwise it will not work.

If you are speaking of a 22-inch Dynex television, then yes. It will work. Note that the DVD/TV combo units had limited connection capability, so if you want to connect this type of set to a surround sound system, it must have a coaxial or optical digital audio output to send surround sound to a receiver.
