How do you open a stuck close crv 2006 trunk door?

It is assumed that you are referring to the rear hatch glass and lower door. If the hatch glass is not releasing, check the fuse that controls power to the switch and

lock. If you are referring to the door iteself, you will probably have to remove the inner panel of the door to access the lock mechanism. If you are not 'handy' with tools you may have to take it to a repair shop or dealer.

What is a code reader where do you plug it in at on a 2004 Honda crv?

I believe that you might be asking about the location of the plug to the OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) computer. If so, on that model I BELIEVE it can be found hidden under the right hand side of the center floor console.

OR - you can simply PHONE your local Honda delaer and ASK them.

A code reader, is a device that downloads the alpha-numeric codes from the OBD which can be looked up to identify what faults the computer is reading.

How to fix a digital clock light on a Honda Accord year 2000?

from dealer ($2).

How do you fix the sensor for the backdoor hatch on a 2002 Honda CRV - mine thinks the door is open but it's not and it no longer let's you use the remote to lock the car because of it?

The problem may be either the sensor or the mechanical latch. Test the sensor by opening the door and pushing the latch all the way closed with a screwdiver. If the sensor now turns the light off, the problem is mechanical.

The latch loop of metal may have screws to loosen it, then position it so it more fully pushes the latching mechanism closed. That fixed my 2007 CRV with the same problem.

Why does your drive light turn on and off on your crv Honda 2002?

It is a warning that the vehicle's computer senses something wrong with your transmission. Have it looked at immediately or it could cost you BIG bucks.

When should the alternator be replaced in my 2002 Honda crv with 80000 miles on it?

Unless you have indications that it is causing you problems, DON'T replace it. There is no certain timeframe for the replacement of this part, My CR-V is two years older than yours and is approaching 100K and still has all the original engine accessories.

Will a 2004 Honda CR-V engine fit in a 2002 crv?

They are basically the same vehicle with only minor cosmetic body changes. Based on that, the '04 engine should fit into the '02 engine compartment.

How do you replace the tail light cover on a 2005 Honda cr-v?

It will be assumed that you are referring to the taillight lens mounted on the back pillar.

Open the glass hatch exposing the screws that hold the plastic lens housing to the pillar. Un-screw them and carefully lift the lens housing away from the pillar exposing the wires leading to the lights. Un-screw the light bulb sockets about 1/2 turn and remove the bulbs from the housing. Re-install the replacement housing following this procedure in reverse.

How do you remove the stuborn Philips head screws on fron disk break rotors on a 1999 Honda CR-V?

2003 Honda CR-V hatch open light flashes when hatch is closed?

First thing to check would be the contact switch that the hatch touches when it is in the closed position. It may either be broken or corroded and not sending the proper signal to the warning light.

Does a 2003 Honda cr-v 4cyl have a timing chain or a timing belt?

Answer

The 2003-05 Accord 4cyl has a timing chain. The 2003-05 V6 has a timing belt.

I own a 2002 CR-V, 4 cyl. It has a timing chain. The '03 is out of the same series so I would assume it also has a chain. But, to be sure, call a dealer's service department and ask them. They'll know right away.

Which fuse powers the cigarette lighter in 2006 CR-V?

Locate the fuse box which is under the dash. There is a panel on the end of the dash that can be removed allowing access to the fuses. The fuse you are looking for will either be fuse # 8 Radio/Accessory fuse or fuse # 18. More than likely it is # 18 which is a 15 amp fuse for the front accessory power socket. Pull that fuse and if it is blown replace with the exact same size fuse. If it blows immediately then the socket is defective and will need to be replaced.

How do you replace the front fog light on a Honda CR-V?

The fog lights on MkI and MkII Honda CRV models are mounted into the front bumper and to gain access you have to remove the bumper. If only replacing one side you can leave the fittings on the other side intact and just slide the bumper out enough to gain access to the rear. The fog light is a robust aluminium unit that is totally waterproof. You will have to remove just 4 self tapping screws and disconnect the wiring and the unit will come out from the back of the bumper. Then there is one screw next to the beam adjustment screw that you remove. The adjustment plate will then pivot and come away leaving you access to the 5 screws that hold the rear plate on the unit. Remove these and the plate and you will reveal the bulb held in by the standard spring wire clip. As usual re-assembly is the reverse.

Just did mine to replace the bulb.

Did a block heater come standard on a 2001 Honda CR-V?

According to all sources I could find they did not come "stock" with CR-V's in that year. Later model years (2006+) show that they were installed in the rear drainplug of the block just a little behind the oil filter location. Remove the threaded drain plug, and it installs in that hole. The power cord is lashed up and runs to the front of the vehicle. After-market heaters are available for earlier models.

Where is my PCV valve located on my 1999 Honda CR-V?

The valve itself (a cylindrical object clamped into the rubber hose at both ends), is located in a hose that leads from the valve cover and runs to the fuel rail. Look for such a hose and follow it towards the fuel rail. It is replaceable with a part readily available at any auto supply store.

(Hint: they can also be cleaned, if not too deteriorated, by soaking them in carburetor cleaner or by blowing carb cleaner through them from an aerosol can until the spray runs clear.)

The theory is that the intake of fuel mixture will suck any fumes from the valve cover area and recirculate them into the combustion chamber to be burned.
