Where is my PCV valve located on my 1999 Honda CR-V?

The valve itself (a cylindrical object clamped into the rubber hose at both ends), is located in a hose that leads from the valve cover and runs to the fuel rail. Look for such a hose and follow it towards the fuel rail. It is replaceable with a part readily available at any auto supply store.

(Hint: they can also be cleaned, if not too deteriorated, by soaking them in carburetor cleaner or by blowing carb cleaner through them from an aerosol can until the spray runs clear.)

The theory is that the intake of fuel mixture will suck any fumes from the valve cover area and recirculate them into the combustion chamber to be burned.

You have a strange noise on your 97 crv as you go up hills sounds like a broken muffler or blown gasket but that is not the problem only happens when accelerating up hill any suggestions thanks?

Could be exhaust manifold at the doughnut ring connection. Not sure if a CRV has a spring loaded connection, but if the exhaust system is plugged (cat and / or muffler) the motor exhaust pressure is blowing out the flange ring.

How do you program a key-less remote for a Honda CR-V?

It depends on the year. I did my 1998 by the steps below.

It is important to do all of the steps within 2-3 seconds of each other.

1) Turn the key to II.

2) Quickly, like in 2-3, sec push the key fob's lock button.

3) Turn the key OFF.

4) Turn the key back to II.

5) Push the fob lock button.

6) Turn the Key OFF.

7) Turn the Key back to II.

8) Push the fob lock button

9) Turn the Key OFF.

10) Turn the key to II.

11) Push the fob lock button

12) You will hear the door lock. The keyfob receiver is now in program mode. You must push the Key fob lock or unlock button again to program that fob.

13) Do this again, lock and unlock, for every Keyfob you have, or it will deprogram them, and you only have 8 secs each to do it. when you press each fob you will hear the doors lock and unlock.

14) Turn the key off, and pull out the key.

15) Press the buttons on all the fobs to test them.

What does it mean if a 2000 Honda CR-V has a dead cylinder?

usually it means that a cylinder is not firing. have a compression test done. it could also be a burt valve or a hole in the piston though that is not likely the case. dead cylinder, no spark.

Why would the windshield washer pump runs in your Honda crv 2005 but there is not fluid coming out?

(1) Make sure that there is washer fluid in the reservoir (2) lift the hood and have someone activate the washer pump - look at the washer fluid hoses to see if any of them are leaking or spurting fluid (3) it's possible that debris has gotten into the reservoir and plugged the sprayer nozzles (4) the pump may be defective - even though the electric motor runs the pump mechanism itself may have failed.

Is there a way to set external lights to turn automatically off in Honda CRV 2009 when the ignition key is off?

Are you sure that you''re not trying to 'defeat' a safety and convenience feature built into the design by the manufacturer?? There's probably a delayed 'lights off' feature to allow the driver 20-30 seconds to get out of the car and get to their front door. Try testing this out next time by turning the ignition off and timing the duration the lights stay lit before they automatically turn-off by themselves.

Can you make a bed with the back seats of a Honda cr-v 2000?

You can adjust the front and back seats to make 2 beds! Remove the headrests from both front seats. Move both seats forward while out of the car. The seats will almost push up against the dash. Recline the seats all the way back, then raise the handle while pressing down on the seat back and with some force you can press the seat flush with the rear seat. Find the handle on the outside of the rear seat just under the cushion next to the door jam. lift the handle while pulling the back of the seat forward. This will lift the back bottom of the seat up while the front hinges. Lift and release the handle while continuing to lift until the seat locks. this should now position the bottom of the back seat in line with the back of the front seat. Lift the knob on the rear seat next to the headrest and push the seat backwards. You should now have a bed with a slight incline. Enter from the back doors and sit on the seat bottom of the back seat while swinging your feet in and placing them into the front seat cushion with your head on the rear seat back.

How do you tow a 2005 Honda CR-V behind a motorhome?

Is it an automatic or a standard shift? These are the instructions I got from Honda Motors Customer Service line for an AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION model - - - If you are towing with the front(drive) wheels up ON A TOW DOLLY - nothing special is necessary - UNLESS you have an AWD model - then, make sure the differential fluid for the rear axle is completely topped off. If you are towing with all 4 WHEELS DOWN - - Start the vehicle and move the shift lever through all gears, pausing for a moment in each position. Return the lever to 'neutral' and shut the vehicle off. You will have to LEAVE THE IGNITION UN-LOCKED, so that the front wheels will follow the tow vehicle around corners. At the end of the day (or every 500 miles), start the vehicle and run through the gear positions (as above). This procedure ensures that sufficient fluid will remain in the shifting bands to prevent them running dry. STANDARD SHIFT models: Nothing special necessary except to make sure the tranmsission is in 'neutral' and that the transmission and differential fluids are topped off. AGAIN: Remember to leave the ignition un-locked!

What fuse operates the heater blower on 2009 crv?

In the 2009 Honda CR-V, the heater blower is typically powered by the 40A fuse located in the under-hood fuse box, specifically labeled as "AC" or "Heater." Always consult the owner's manual for the exact fuse location and specifications to ensure proper identification. If the blower isn't functioning, checking this fuse is a good first step in troubleshooting.

Can I mix 10-30 oil with 5-30 oil?

It's not like you want a 50/50 mix, but if you simply need to add some oil for temporary use before you get around to doing an official oil change, then it's fine.
