I assume since you're asking if 2x2 invertible matrices are a "subspace" that you are considering the set of all 2x2 matrices as a vector space (which it certainly is).

Yes it will. Almost all other departments will ask you of their paperwork if you have ever been disqualified for another police department. Just about every department will and that and then they will seek your file from the NYPD, so you will have to fight it at some point.

Also, you can try paying off the invigilator. It shouldn't cost that much if you're from India.

I would stick to studying, taking the test yourself and scoring well. It helps when you have to take Step 2 CK in US and none of the other advice helps and you learn you have to actually learn from Step 1 again.
