Who gave India its independence?
The history of Freedom Struggle started with Swami Dayanand Saraswati with his Nationalist and Reformatory movement. Thereafter, a movement started infusing the spirits enunciated by him into the people of the country.
Following the inspirations given by the Swami, the First war of Independence had begun with Rani Luxmi Bai, Nanaji and others. With the revolt in the so named Mutiny, the fire became big.
Thereafter thousands of martyres sacrificed their lives in the country and also abroad in that struggle.
The struggle culminated in the final strokes of INA Netaji Subhash Chander Bose leading one part and Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru and party leading the other.
Destiny favored the latter and Gandhi and party got the credit.

Why is the India's nuclear deal with US pros and cons Benefits for India?
I went through ur view,,but i found you a person who is motivated by politics.i have some benefits about this deal.. 1.after 40 yrs, when uranium will be consumed totally from the world, then this deal will have no value. 2. you mentioned about India-china relation.did u forget the war,did u forget the arunachal and sikkim issue?? 3.now global issue...china and Russia are close friends..the friendship between china and USA, we see now a days, is just a white lie to the world community. USA and china and Russia know it well.during indo-Chinese war Russia avoided us by saying "India is our good friend but Chinese are our brother" .the only country helped us was America.. 4.we know these renewable sources can fulfill our requirements, but if there is nuclear energy then it is an added advantage.. 5.if in future America closes the deal, then we have our hydro electricity, solar, wind power..if we see any violation in our sovereignty, then we can close the deal immediately...from now we have to invest more in solar, hydro and wind power. 6.again,just think why America choosed India for it,not china or Pakistan????? 7.a lots of Indians probably the largest in USA are living and also in UK...it brings a kind of good relationship with those countries.those NRIS invest a lot in our country. 8.our outsourcing industry depends fully on them.doesn't depend upon china and Pakistan.. 9.after 9/11,America has understood Pakistan as a migraine and now has tightened its jaws... 10.why china reacted a lot after this deal????is there any answer of this?? 11.lastly,if u think than America fears India and that's why it is trying to bring India under its control, then u r totally wrong..USA is more than 3 times of India,12 times more in economy and a technical power..we can never catch in power or economy because size matters...so,better make USA and UK as our friend, forget about china-India relation.

^--FALSE--^
A bit of background information never seemed to hurt anyone. The top largest bodies of water surrounding India are the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Bay of Bengal. The major rivers inside the country include: Indus, Jhelum, Ravi, Chenab, Sutlej, Ganga, Yamuna, Tapti, Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri, and Narvada. Water pollution in these bodies of water occur through three main sources: municipal wastewater discharges, industrial wastewater discharges and, return-agriculture flows through drainage structures. Sunita Narain, director of the New Delhi-based Centre for Science and Environment says, 'the river is dead, it just has not been officially cremated.' Three billion liters of assorted waste are pumped into Delhi's Yamuna River each day. (spiegle.de)It is said that 57% of the cities waste is pumped directly into the Yamuna; which makes several parts of the river hardly able to sustain marine life at all. Roughly 80% of all of India's waste ends up in their rivers. The World Bank estimates that 21% of communicable diseases in India are related to unsanitary water. A growing number of bodies of water in India are unfit for human use, and in the Ganges River, holy to the country's 82% Hindu majority, the river dolphin population is falling so rapidly due to pollution that they were downgraded this year from vulnerable to endangered. With the constant flow of pollution into these rivers, how is it that clean drinking water is obtained?
