Does having a tilted uterus cause the iud to fall out?
Most women have a uterus that is tilted in one direction or the other. A uterus with a prominent bend may make it more difficult to insert the IUD correctly, and increase the risk of expulsion, but health care providers are normally aware of this bend when they do the pelvic exam prior to IUD placement. Seeing a provider with a great deal of experience in the insertion of IUDs, such as one at a family planning center, can reduce this risk.

Miscarriages in women with an IUD (intrauterine device) can occur if the IUD fails to prevent pregnancy, as it is primarily meant for contraception. There were NO symptoms to this infection and it showed up in a routine pap. Anyway, that is why I had to have my IUD taken out. Everyone told me this wouldn't hurt. Dont get me wrong it did not hurt BAD. but it did feel rather uncomforitable when they took it out. maybe it was because of the infection that I had. They had no problem pulling it out. Maybe they would have used more tools if they had a problem.
