I just changed the battery to my 2002 Jaguar X-type and it is just how you change the battery to any other car. Some people like to buy manufacturer product so if you buy a Jaguar battery, take out the old battery and put in the new. If you buy a compatible battery, at an auto store, it works just as well but you have to fill the sides so it can fit and it won't move from side to side since a jaguar battery seems to be wider than the standard types. They sell the foam at the auto store, you just have to put it on the side and cover the battery back up.

How do you replace the headlight bulb in a 1994 xjs convertable?
Inside the wheel well there is a small cover plate with 2 plastic screws which must be turned a quarter turn. The plate then comes out. Pull the plug off the back of the bulb. There is then a plastic collar which must be turned counter clockwise. To install, do the same in reverse.
How do you remove radio from jaguar xj8?
Radio should just pull out but the retaining clips are very strong and sometimes will not release, if this is the case then do as follows. Remove the leather cover around the gearstick ( it pulls off) and you will see two seven mil nuts and two bolts retaining a cover holding the wood surround in place, remove them and lift the cover which will then allow you to lift and remove the wood surround. there is a screw either side of the radio surround which when undone will allow you to remove said radio( the gearshift must be in drive to allow clearence). all in all it takes about ten minutes.

Find the unit which is on the A post either left or right, and it's covered by a plastic housing usually black. (The A post is the vertical box section which has the door hinges on). If and when the fuel shut-off sensor (really it's an inertia switch) is tripped, a little black button pops up from the top, and you just push it back down again.

Where is power steering pump filler cap on a 1992 XJS Jaguar?
The reservoir is on top of the left wheel well. But note it takes a special oil, not power steering fluid.
The pump and reservoir are GM made. The black cap is located under the drivers side upper rad hose. It has a level indicator built into the cap. Just remove and add. A small skinny funnel is need to deliver oil as it is a tight fit.
