What are the 1995 Jeep grand Cherokee check engine light codes?

The codes are generated by the engine control computer system and are readable with a module that is plugged into a port under your dash. There are a lot of them; too many to list in this reply. I would suggest a trip to the local library's reference section to look at one of the repair manuals for your make and model, or if you're suspecting a problem a local parts store will likely have a code reader that they can plug in and provide information about any error that comes up. I also recommend that you search the database of answered questions in WikiAnswers for information from previous posts that have come before yours.

Replace headlight 1996 Jeep Cherokee?

Just did this 10 minutes ago fyi :) .................... All of the answers above are Correct for 94-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Some have the bezel, others do not. Honestly you do not have to unscrew those shafts, it is a snap-on ball on the end of the screw adjustment shaft that connects to the plastic retainer on the Light Housing, 2 or 3 connectors depending on the model. Try not to break the housing, but it will come off with a strong tug or pry with a bar, first one side then the other. If you are just chamging the bulb then the above is also correct about untwisting the ring collar and removing the bulb, from the rear, (inside the engine compartment); remember to reinstall the ring onto the bulb and to not touch the glass bulb.

What color antifreeze in my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

All 2002 Chrysler products take HOAT type antifreeze. Zerex G05 is that type. On the back of the Zerex bottle you will see a chart confirming that Chrysler 2001 and newer use G05 HOAT type. Go to zerex.com (AKA Valvoline) to see the different types they make. This is also used in newer Fords as well.

Will jeep wrangler wheels fit a 2004 grand Cherokee?

Not the newer 5 on 4.5" model KJ ones! Use the ones off an older model YJ Wrangler. They have a smaller diameter 5 bolt on 4 inch pattern. YJs have the steel and plastic front bumpers, not the all plastic ones, older than 2007. Classic box Cherokee and older Liberty rims will work as well, not sure about the new Liberty, probably will. Also remember, Jeep used 15" and 16" on Grand Cherokees so note rim diameters.

How do you install starter for 1995 jeep grand cheorkee?

Get under the vehicle with a flashlight and locate where the starter is positioned...After you find it, locate the two bolts that hold it onto the bottom of the engine...Then loosen the two bolts and once they are loose, use one hand to hold the broken starter from falling on you (it is heavy) and the other hand to completely remove the bolts...the two bolts are very long and threaded...The next thing you have to do is remove the battery cable from the starter housing and you will need a small wrench to break the little bolt from the starter silonoid...be sure to wear safety glasses and protect your hands from grease using gloves or an old towel..to install your new starter just repeat these steps backwards...It is easy and a great learning experience and if you are having trouble or problems with replacing the starter then just take a break and come back to it when your recomposed

99 jeep Cherokee radio and power windows not working?

Check your fuses .... BUT most likely the problem is the wires that go through the DRIVERS door jamb (inside the black accordian looking thing) ... from opening and closing the door over the years, the wires break. I have a 2000 Cherokee and first the drivers door speaker went out (I ran a new wire to fix that) and then months later my power windows and the dash board lights stopped working .... I have not fixed mine yet so don't know if it is one wire or several. I read another post that says it is the ground wire but doesn't tell what color that is ... ?? .... I think it is more than one wire though since people don't all have the same EXACT problem (your windows and radio ... mine wndows and dash lights) .... Probably have to test each wire with a meter and then splice and run new wires through the door jamb to fix the broken ones.
