What is a difference between Jeep Wrangler Sahara and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon?
Sahara - body colored fender flares and most of the comfort stuff. Rubicon - heavy duty axles, air lockers, low range transfer case, larger tires. best suited for off-road use
I had this exact problem with a Wrangler I used to own for a short time. It needs a bracket & the idler & maybe a different belt (don't remember if the belt was different). The cost at that time was over $200 so I just left the compressor in place to drive the belt. Those I think had a York compressor that can fairly easily be turned into an on-board air compressor so might want to look into it!

Can the roll cage on a Jeep Wrangler be removed?
Yes, the entire roll cage in all Jeep Wranglers can simply be unbolted for removal. On model years 1997-2006 (TJ's) you have to take 4 bolts out of the top of the windshield frame that connects to the roll cage.
It is on the same circuit as the brake lights, but if they are not working, and the bulbs are good your switch needs cleaning or adjustment.
On the passengers side of the trans there is a fan shaped switch, loosen the 12mm bolt ( smaller of the two, and rotate the switch while a friend checks the lights. this problem is usually accompanied by an occasional inability to start the vehicle, but can be cured by jiggling the shifter.
While adjusting the switch make sure that the vehicle will start in park as well, remember to block the wheels while testing the back up lights, engine off, key in run but not start, shifter in reverse, move switch until lights come on.
Once you find this spot, hold it in place and have your helper check to make sure it will start. This may take several tries to get both working correctly.
If you have no luck the switch may be dirty, this happens a lot. Hold the post to the bottom large bolt still while you loosen the nut, then remove it, then remove the 12mm adjusting bolt on top, remove the wire connector and pull the switch away, remove the bolts on the switch and separate the halves, use electrical contact cleaner and maybe some q-tips to clean all the copper connections completely and reassemble, refit to the trans and readjust so all functions work, this switch controls back up and start safety.
Caution! always hold that bottom bolt while tightening the large nut, this is connected to the gear adjuster and you could damage the internals if it isn't secured while you do it.
Will a 2000 wrangler Sahara hard top fit a 2004 wrangler?
YES IT DOES! although different models from different years (such as Sahara or sport) have slightly different hardtops (some w/ small vents behind the back side windows some w/o, some with those defrost lines on the rear window some w/o) all jeep wranglers from 1997 to 2006 will fit perfectly. I have a 98 Sahara with a 2004 top. The only thing that could be a little different is that the holes for the bolts that connect IT to the jeep might be a different size or shape or maybe in a different place. I didn't get the bolts from the guy I bought the top from so I just went to home depot and bought some with a butterfly nut so i could take of the top without tools later ;)

Where can you find the 4 wheel drive vacuum schematic for an 87 Jeep Wrangler?
Try JCWHITNEY.COM they have manuals that might show them. It took me quite a while to finally figure out the vacuum diagram for the '87 Wrangler front axle system. If I can help, please contact me at ftretta@msn.com. My 91 Wrangler has same vacuum system and they are prone to problems. As long as your transfer case is shifting into 4WD (mine is), a better solution is a manual cable that replaces the funky vacumm motor on the front axel. It seems a bit pricy (around $200 if I remember correctly), but since I have already replaced the motor once several years ago, rather than spend the money to fix the now broken again funky set up, I think better money is on a cable to eliminate that weakness. I have seen several aftermarket suppliers carry it. Amazon or EBay might also be good sources.
Why would a 1999 Wrangler Sahara stall at stop lights as well as while driving down the highway?
I would first check to make sure the security chip is clean and well seated. I had to get mine replaced as my Jeep was doing the same thing.
Another possibility is that that the idle air valve may have carbon and gunk built up on it. This part bolts onto the throttle body, but is relatively easy to get to once the throttle body is unbolted from the engine. It can be cleaned with a can of carb/choke cleaner, which is cheap. You would need to have a set of torx sockets to remove the valve from the throttle body to clean it, but you will only be removing two screws, so I would recommend borrowing some if you don't have any.

How do you remove fuel pump from 2000 jeep wrangler?
The fuel pump in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) is located inside the gas tank. You have to drop the gas tank skid plate by removing the bolts holding it up. (NOTE: It's much easier to do this if your gas tank is empty, or close to it)
After you've got the tank down the fuel pump is right on top. You just have to unscrew the large nut, and then pull the pump out.
