What is three job interview questions?
The #1 thing is to get a good sense of if the person that you are interviewing would be a good fit for their company. The goal for the first interview isn't really to hire the person on the spot. You need to first find out of the person would be a good fit for your company per the qualifications that you set forth for the job opening. The next round of interviews can get into a more detailed conversation regarding getting other managers and staff involved. It needs to make sense in terms of their qualifications however that really shouldn't be something to focus on since their resume should have been enough before interviewing them.
What should I write in reply to an email invitation to interview?

How frequently should one follow up after a job interview?
A little background about the question. I recently interviewed at a Fortune 500 company.
1. After the interview, I sent the standard thank you note to each person that interviewed me.
2. A week later, I followed up. I was told the decision would take an additional week.
3. I followed up 2 weeks later and was told by the hiring manager that he was out of town and would make a decision a week later.
4. Again, I let 2 weeks pass by and still no word.
I had 2 people personally recommend me to the hiring manager. One person worked with the hiring manager on a previous project and the other currently works with him in different department.
I don't want to be a pest, but I would like an answer. Your thoughts and opinions are welcome. In total, I have followed up twice, every 2 weeks.
Thanks!

Can a previous employer say you were a bad employee?
I believe so, especially if it is true. If they lie and say you were a bad employee, they would be taking a risk, however, I guess they could if they wanted to.
AnswerMost WON'T, for fear they'll be sued. Many companies have a policy of only verifying dates of employment and salary. Some will also divulge if you're considered "rehirable." Some small business owners just don't care, and will say whatever they think. If you did something really bad (stole $1,000 or assualted a co-worker) the previous employer may use tone of voice or an indirect way to convey the info that you're not recommended. If you're in doubt, put someone else down as a reference.Typically to avoid lawsuits claiming slander or defamation of character most employers are restricted to only verifying the date that you were hired and the date that you left the company, and yes or no if they would re-hire you in the future...
However if you were say arrested (and CONVICTED)in a court of law for committing a crime against the company, then that employer could devulge that information because your criminal conviction is public knowledge and it is not considered slander or defamation to release public knowledge....
What are some things in a job that are Not appealing to you?
Answer
Some jobs that I took in the past, I took because I needed the money. In reality the job wasn't in my particular field but because of a shortage of jobs in my field of expertise, I often took jobs just because they paid well. It wasn't that I liked the jobs, it was the money that attracted me and when I got fed up, I left and went on to something else. Another, also correct answer, is that internal squabbling between co-workers drives employees away from an establishment. Hiring someone who is a natural peacemaker will help...

Why we should not hire you in this company?
Because I am a very loyal hard worker so would give the company excellent value for my wage costs so having me on your workforce might therefore cause resentment among your lazier and less efficient employees.
There are many things that would make an employer unlikely to hire someone, such as if that person was visibly insane, very rude or messy, highly unintelligent, or simply not qualified for the job they are trying to get.
What are long term and short term goals?

What is the salary for a supervisor at joann fabrics?
As a former employee of Joann Fabrics and a former key holder (management member), I can take a stab at this question. Management pay use to start around $24,000 and the key holders make from $7.50 to 9.00 and hour. All based on time and experience. Not a lot of pay for what is expected of management. Trust me!
