The starter solenoid for most old Fords will work. If you need something specific, a 1975 Ford F-150 starter solenoid will work. Just make sure your replacement solenoid has 2 large posts and 2 small posts. (They all have 2 large posts, its the number of small posts thats important).

I have a JD 4115 and cannot find one. The oil filter and gas filter have an aftermarket, but the trans filter does not. WIX makes a gas filter and when I lookup the trans filter on WIX's website I receive message "This is a valid competitive part number and there is no replacement at this time."

According to the manual it takes .625 of a quart and manufacturer recommendation is 5w-30. If it is an older engine that smokes you can use SAE40 to keep the oil from slipping past the rings.

First check plugs to see if they are bad.

The older cat hour meters that were mechanically driven off of the fuel pump counted RPM hours. The newer ones are an oil pressure switch and clock hour for hour time no matter what the RPM if the engine is running.

There is a cover on the pump that will reveal the pump marks. The engine marks are on the rear housing and flywheel.
