Yes, people in North Dakota have laptops.

Laptops or computers are NOT recommended within the ICU environment with the fact that in this department there are very sensitive machines that have lifesaving codes etc., that are needed. The signal from the computer could screw the lifesaving equipment up.

I presume you want to network them wirelessly.... You need a wireless network router.
You need wireless network cards on each computer or ethernet ports (if the router had this option).
Set up the router to create a network and possibly connect to the internet.
Connect each computer to the network.
Set up a Share file on each computer so that people can access it.
Connect to a computer by looking in "My Network Places".
Voila'

depending on the size and the type of LCD Panel it is, some can be replaced faily cheap. Some run up in to hundreds. So your best bet is to do a little research on the laptop and head over to this site...i have used them a few times in the past and never had an issue with them

If your on XP (dunno about others) go into control panel then performance and mentenance then go into the power settings. go to the advanced tab and change the when i close my lid option to; do nothing.

I don't think it would hurt. I changed the refresh rate of my laptop's LCD from 59 to 60 a month ago and its been working fine since. As long as 60 Hz is already shown as an option in your control panel or whatever, it should be OK.

Yes. Depending on how it has been treated, how old it is and how cutting edge the technology was on the particular model when it was new. I have owned three or four top of the line ProStar computers - cutting edge technology when the unit was new (thus very expensive laptops). By the time I upgrade the laptop I am selling is middle fo the road technology when I sell it, therefore, every time I sell one and buy a new one I am confident that the used ProStar I am selling will give many years of great service to the person who is purchasing it. There are several reasons why your laptop's battery doesn't last very long, sometimes batteries can develop a "memory" if they aren't recharged properly or your battery could simply be getting old. If your laptop is under warranty, then you may be able to get the battery replaced for free.

Macbook pro is better than macbook air. Although it is heavier but it has better screen quality and the screen is made out of glass.

if you are tight on money, i would suggest u to get and 11 inch macbook air, if not get a macbook pro which is $9088 (Hk dollars) Or even better ones that are listed in apple.com.

Alright, last thing. Macbook pro has a better battery life. It can be used up to 7-10 hours for 13-15 inch. But for 17 inch it is only 5-7 hours.
