Can Lexapro cause a woman to lose her sex drive and impair ability to reach climax?
I'm on lexapro and my sex drive has if anything improved since i began it.
I'm not a doctor, but i don't think it would, just from personal experiances.
if you feel it has decreased it you might want to consult a doctor@!
Is it safe to take 2 xanex since you have taken Valproic acid and Lexapro?

Can you take oxycodone and Lexapro on a daily basis?
Oxycodone is very addictive. You should not take it on a daily basis unless you absolutely have to. Lexapro, on the other hand, is not addictive at all. It is a very effective antidepressant.
***I wouldn't necessarily say Lexapro is not addictive, as it is very addicting physically. Abrupt cessation of Lexapro can be very dangerous and usually leads to Serotonin Syndrome, which from experience is not fun at all and can last 2-14 days.
But to respond to your original question, I take Lexapro 10mg and 30mg oxycodone instant release daily and have never had an issue. Though it is always wise to consult your pharmacist beforehand and/or your doctor. Different people react differently.
Should you be safe now after going off lexapro cold turkey four days ago day?
It normally takes lexapro 5 to 7 days to leave your system. Once that happens is when you may have side effects. If you do get side effects they can last for quite some time. You are normally soposed to wean of the medication under the care of your physician or psychiatrist. Consult with either if you start to feel troublesome side effects or are experiencing them now.
Can you mix vigra and Lexapro?
Yes, medically they are safe to be taken together. Obviously, you should never take a prescription other than your own as there are many risks with any medication and you should discuss them with your doctor or another healthcare professional before taking medications.
If you have missed 4 doses of Lexapro--should you just start taking them again or quit?
You should take your next dose as soon as possible. If you have been on Lexapro for a long period of time then the withdrawl effects can be unpleasant, as in causeing anxiety and/or depression in a way worse than before. If you do not like lexapro you should notify your doctor and come off of it slowly.
Why do doctors say there is no withdrawal from Lexapro stoppage?
Probably 'cause they don't want to get sued.
I had side effects , i started putting on weight, and did not get a permenant cure but i got this blog which really helped me to cure the panic attack http://trainyourmind.blogspot.com
-------------------- I have been on lexapro 20mg and wellbutrin 150mg for about 6 months for depression and anxiety. Mixing these two has helped me with both mood and lack of attention/energy in my case. My impression is that Lexapro works pretty well with mood and anxiety, and wellbutrin helps attention, energy, sex drive, and concentration. So there are other symptoms like fatigue and lack of motivation left, but we know that anti-depressants don't attack all depressive symptoms.
because you hate him so that makes you angry DOES THAT HELP?????
Can you take Tamiflu and Lexapro?
Yes. According to the Tamiflu prescription information:
TAMIFLU has been shown to have a minimal chance of negatively interacting with other medications. Over-the-counter medications may be prescribed to reduce severity of symptoms while the antiviral action of TAMIFLU takes effect.
Antibiotics and Tamiflu should be OK taken together, however, depending on the reason for the antibiotic, you may want to get counseling from the Pharmacist or your doctor before using both.
How long do the withdrawal symptoms of Lexapro last?
I was on Prozac, then celexa, then Lexapro. My memory had become terrible. It was acutally kind of scary. I seriously thought I had the start of Alzheimers, but my doctor said it was the drug celexa, so she put me on Lexapro because of less side affects. My memory improved, but not 100% so I decided to go off of Lexapro. I took 10 mg a day, I cut it in half for about six weeks, then cut it in half again and planned on taking that for about six weeks. I ended up missing a dose two days in a row so decided to just go off of it. I have had some side effects. I feel something like a swooping feeling in my head. I also do get dizzy. For the dizziness and the swooping feeling, I have been taking Dramamine, an over the counter motion sickness pill, which helps. The only down fall with that is, they make you very tired. I would think, if you take one every day, your body would get use to it and the tiredness would go away. I only take them when I feel I will really need it...when the dizziness is bad.
Hope this helps someone.
To add to the answer above, which I can't improve, I just wanted to say "Thanks" for the suggestion to use Dramamine for the dizziness. I had toyed with the idea, but since it worked for you, I'm definitely going to give it a try while I still have some residual dizziness! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!

Side effects that you may exprience when you combine amitriptyline with lexapro?
Hi,
About a month and a half ago, my doctor started me on lexapro 5mg in the morning for 6 days then up to 10mg a day. A few days after starting on the 5mg dose in the morning I started taking 15mg Serapax (Alepam) 1-3 tablets a day for anxiety. (The reason I started was because of I was majorly stressed about work issues and had major anxiety). Just after getting up to the 10mg Lexapro, I saw a psychiatrist as I was still really anxious. He told me to keep taking the 10mg of Lexapro in the morning and also the take amitriptyline 25mg 1 hour before bed (to help me sleep), then take 15mg of Alepam at time of going to sleep or whenever I had panic attacks throughout the day.
The next morning I took 10mg of lexapro after starting the amitriptyline the night before. It was horrible! I felt so weird and spaced out. I thought I was loosing my mind. I was about to pack my bags to go to the nearest pysch ward! I called the psychiatrist and went and saw my doctor as I felt that strange, not right at all.
I have been going through hell the last two weeks on this cocktail of drugs. I really think the combination of the lexapro and amitriptyline does not work.
Please let me know how you are going as I feel so alone and scared right now.

First, in clinical studies, Lexapro is weight gain neutral, meaning that just as many people gain weight as lose weight. With that said, it is impossible to say whether the drug itself actually causes people to gain weight, and if it does it is unknown as to why which further complicates the matter.
Second, you indicated that the the person had depression. Adderall is not recommended for people with depression, however, new studies have shown Adderall to actually be effective. Now the second part of the question that states that you have obsessive thinking. If this is the case, then I would definitely be very wary of taking Adderall, since Adderall is likely to increase this behavior.
Third, both Adderall and Lexapro act on the same neurotransmitters. With that said, they are still very different drugs, but do run into the potential of counteraction each other. For instance, Adderall works primarily on dopamine, but has also been shown to increase serotonin as well. Lexapro works mainly on Serotonin. Now most SSRI's also will to a lesser extent increase dopamine and norepinephrine. If you are to mix Adderall with an antidepressant, Lexapro would be the best one to do so with, since studies show that Lexapro is cleaner and acts on serotonin and does not seem to increase the other neurotransmitters.
Fourth, it is unlikely you will achieve the results you want. The truth is, Adderall works to decrease the weight mainly by suppressing your appetite. It also increases your metabolism, but this increase is negligible and is not likely to make any significant difference in weight. Also, you will notice a decrease in appetite at first and the Adderrall will work initially; however, over long periods of time, Adderral is not very effective in managing weight as your body becomes used to the drug.
The best way to decrease your weight is through exercise. You should be doing exercises that elevate your heart rate to over 130 bpm, at least 4 times a week for 30 minutes - 60 minutes. While any exercise will burn calories and help, exercising of this intensity is the only real way to release endorphins which naturally increases both your serotonin and dopamine levels which will help reduce your need for the antidepressant and make your existing dosage more effective. Also, this level of exercise will elevate your glucose levels, thus naturally suppressing your appetite. And finally, even if the Lexapro has decreased your metabolism, this should offset any decrease and set you on the path to weight loss.
Of course, not everyone can manage such a routine; however, it is the one likely to give you consistent results. In any event, you should speak with your doctor to weigh the pros and cons, as Adderall is a stimulant and a Schedule II controlled substance. Adderall has done many wonderful things for many people, especially in the area of ADHD; however, it also has the potential to do many negative things as well and has a higher potential of addiction than most other drugs.
Can clinical depression turn into manic depression?
Not in the way that you are asking. Depression is one illness; manic depression is a separate illness. However, it is possible that you are actually manic depressive or bipolar instead of just being unipolar depressive. Sometimes the manic phase does not show up at the same time as the depression. Teenagers and young adults often have depression first, before the first manic episode.
What should you do for the common cold to go away fast?

I take lexapro and Wellbutrin XL Can I also take modafinil?
You should consult your prescribing doctor. They will most likely tell you that there is a low possibility of an epileptic response. Much lower than other stimulants like Adderall, though. In the case that the drugs are mixed interaction should be monitored and it would be a good idea to have an anti epileptic medication such as a benzodiazepine (eg Xanax).

Your daughter took abilify and lexapro could it of caused permanent brain damage?
No. Those drugs take a while to start working.
Are vertigo and lexipro connected?
Dizziness is indeed a reported side effect of Lexipro (escitalopram). See the link below.
I have been on 20mg Lexapro for over 3 years and stopped cold turkey. I have the 'head sparks' and have had them for 3 weeks now. It has definitely interfered with concentration which causes agitation and irritability. I have also not had one night without seriously bizarre dreams that last the entire night. Whatever it takes, it can't last forever and can't say Lexapro did anything for me but cause serious weight gain. It's easier to deal with life than to mask it with medication; I recommend getting involved in self help books.
