You will have to get in the trunk pull a couple clips off that hold the carpet over the back side of you tail lights. There are 3 nuts that hold the light assembly to the car. Unscrew those and then the tail light will come out ( you have to kind of angle it). There are bulbs you will have to twist the wiring clips for the out of the tail light.

Park on level surface. Drain oil an change filter. Add 4.5 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start engine and let run for 45 seconds. Shut engine down and wait 45 minutes. Check oil level and add enough to reach the full mark. Do not overfill! You now know the capacity.

Trouble code P0795 means:Pressure control solenoid "C"

On a 1997 Lincoln Continental :

The automatic transaxle ( transmission ) fluid level dipstick is in the engine

compartment , near the brake fluid reservoir

( when looking from the front of the vehicle it is to the left )

I had a vibration in my 2002 and I replaced the sway bar and sway bar links.

On a 2002 Lincoln LS :

The fuse panel is in the front passenger footwell ( by ? ) the kick panel

Also , the FRONT power distribution box is in the engine compartment and the REAR power distribution box is in the trunk by the spare tire and the battery

( the power distribution boxes are " live " )

2004 Lincoln ls has 4 oxygen sensors 2 upstreams and 2 down streams

You have a air bag malfinction and should have a dealer chec the fault, your air bag system is non functional when the light is flashing

There are ( 2 ) kick panels . They are the interior trim panels just in front of

the front doors in the driver and front passenger footwells

If you are getting trouble codes P07xx, you need to go to the specialist. It will cost you about $700-800 to fix it.

There is solenoid pack inside the tranny, but the problem in 90% of cases is not with the solenoid, but with cracked valve spring on the gear the solenoid calls.

Parts are cheap, but labor is not. You need to remove the pan, solenoid pack, then valve body, replace broken spring, check for seized valves and reassemble... you might want to do also tune up on the tranny...

Here are some considerations. This car has very deep "manhole like" spark plug wells or valleys. The problem is that as the car ages the valve cover gaskets may allow oil seepage into the cavities. Unfortunately [coil on plug units] which are present on this car; are very susceptible to misfire with the presence of oil, water or any foreign matter in the spark plug valleys. You will have a misfire with respective 'OBD 2' code.

A Lesser occurrence is [coil on plug] failure which could also cause this problem. If you know how to test a [coil on plug] unit with a multimeter it will be very helpful to your diagnosis. the last thing would be either the spark plugs or the Engine Electronic control unit having a problem sending grounding signals to the coil on plug units.

FYI. The problem with oil in the spark-plug well is not only restricted to this make or model vehicle.

I believe you can connect a charger to the connection inside the engine compartment where if you were to want to "jump" the car. It's under a red plastic cap.

In the owners manual you will see that these cars are equipped with a Valet button, press it and then try popping your trunk from your either you key or interior remote buttion located next to the fuel door release.

In all seriousness, if you have to ask this question, you probably need to have someone else do it for you. However, if you are game, go to yourlocal parts store and buy a repair book (Haynes or Chilton). This repair is a 'no-brainer'. Good Luck

This is not a hard job and it does not require any special tools...but there are many, many steps and I would say that you need to have moderate mechanical skills to tackle the job. I use a factory service manual. They are available in both print and on a CD (maybe a DVD, I don't recall). Without the manual, when I say, "remove the door panel" you will not know where the screws are to successfully remove the panel without breaking it. With the manual, you do not need my instructions. So, one could say, this whole question and answer is worthless. UNLESS, you just want some idea about the amount of work involved either to make a decision on wether to get a manual, or to keep you mechanic honest. So, here goes, I will assume the regulator is broken and window is not operable. 1. Disconnect negative battery terminal 2. Remove the door panel (there are several hidden screws and many clips, be careful) 3. Disconnect electrical connections from door panel and on inner door frame 4. Manually move window (keeping rear edge against the B pillar) until you can access the bolts that hold the bottom edge of the glass to the plastic window regulator slides. Loosen those bolts, but do not remove. 5. Lift glass out of car. 6. Disconnect the wiring harness at door latch (tip: red plastic piece slides to release electrical connector) 7. Remove lowest bolt on door edge (which secures plastic anti-theft lock jimmy shield) and nut at top of plastic shield near door key lock cylinder. Remove plastic shield. 8. Remove second nut from bolt that holds door key lock cylinder 9. Release yellow plastic clip that holds the door actuating rod 10 Remove three bolts that hold door latch mechanism 11. Remove bolts that hold inner door panel in place. (I lost count, at least 8..all gold colored) 12. Lift inner door panel out of door, the regulator is bolted to the inside of the panel. 13. Now you can finally see the regulator and determine what went wrong. It is not unusual to discover broken plastic pieces on those window regulator slides that had the bolts we loosened to get the glass out. Usually, the cable has broken free of the plastic and become entangled in the motor. 14. You can unbolt the regulator from the inner door panel for replacement.

check rack and pinion. sounds like it needs to be replaced.

I was looking at the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows that the

5R55N automatic transmission does not have a fluid level dipstick

under a plate in middle of valve covers. 3 spark plugs are located in the right side of the air intake and the other 3 if you have a v6 are located in the left side under the air intake casket which will require you to remove the casket. If you don't know too much about cars you should probably go to a mechanic to change the spark plugs.

I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it calls for 5W-20

semi synthetic .

( as long as you have no oil leaks , or are using oil , then 5W-20 , 100 %

synthetic should be better )

P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician but I have been using 100 % synthetic in my 1995 Ford Explorer since 2001

Actually, "it depends" it not much of an answer at all. The link below suggests that its around 12K-13K miles/year.
