No, lotion wont help with this you need to buff it out, also it could be a deficiency, maybe your missing some important vitamins in your diet. Sometimes with age this just naturally happens and lastly if nothing else it could be a nail fungus, which luckily are easier to treat than fungus that grows on skin. One half ounce of baby oil

Couple squirts of hand lotion

Has to be shaken up each time used. Better if warmed for a few seconds in micro-wave before use. Changing the proportions of the ingredients changes the lotions characteristics.

Strong detergents will do it However these are not very good for the pools water. You would be better of seeing some one at a pool shop for a suitable product. A good way to avoid this situation occurring in the first place ids by installing a suction side floating pool skimmer.
