Dogs lick your for a couple reasons...

Either they want to get your attention,or they just like you.

Some dogs just lick you for the salt on your skin.

I would recommend a mild moisturizer that is fragrance free, preferably one intended for sensitive skin. If your dog's skin is dry and sensitive, fragrances in creams or lotions could further irritate his skin.

One of my rat terriers gets dry, itchy skin regularly in the winter. I've had luck with Bag Balm for him. It's a product originally intended to help moisturize cow udders and is sold in most pharmacies.

If the dry skin persists, your vet can prescribe shampoos or lotions that are medicated to help, also.

Adding lotions to an animal can cause problems with their natural oil on their coats. With that said, review the bottles directions and possibly veterinarian assistance. I would think that baby oil is designed to be safe but made for bare skin and not fur or hair.

Cat's like to lick and taste new things is one reason your cat would lick perfume or lotion off of you. They like nice smells.

Any topical liquid that says "Not to be taken internally" or "For external use only" should not be used on a dog because of the possibility that the dog will lick it off and could be poisoned by it.

I have found it @ CVS & online @ Walmart. Those are the only stores in my area.

Try some version of this: One ounce of Old Spice After Shave lotion

One ounce of rubbing alcohol

One half ounce of baby oil

Couple squirts of hand lotion

One ounce of water or more

Has to be shaken up each time used. Better if warmed for a few seconds in micro-wave before use. Changing the proportions of the ingredients changes the lotions characteristics.

Strong detergents will do it However these are not very good for the pools water. You would be better of seeing some one at a pool shop for a suitable product. A good way to avoid this situation occurring in the first place ids by installing a suction side floating pool skimmer.

Put as much face powder as you want. Remember, you still have to put in lotion. I suggest you don't put too much.

Step 2:

Put your lotion in. You want to put more lotion then powder.

Step 3:

Mix. Your outcome should be a rich foundation cream. If you don't get a cream, try adding more lotion. The scent can vary, depending on the lotion. You could put plain lotion and then add a scent. Either way is fine.

You are now good to face the day with a face with even skin tones.
