Is Mac OS X 10.5 still available by download?

No. Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" was actually never available by download, and was only sold as a DVD at retail stores. It is no longer being sold at Apple Retail Stores or online at Apple.com, but you can still find copies of it from resellers including Amazon.com, eBay, and others.

Are lexmark 1200 series printers compatible with Mac OS computers?

Almost all the printer company's have jumped on the Mac platform so yes, Lexmark is compatible.

BUT....

As with any manufacturer not all models are Mac compatible so you should go to the printers web support site to see if they do have Mac drivers.

The Mac has basic printing features, called "Plug and Play", but you may have to go to the printers web support site to get the latest pinter drivers for your particular printer model to enable all the options.

It can take from weeks to months to get the new drivers for the next upgrade in Mac OSX. Windows has the same issues.

If you have an older printer the printer manufacturer may not keep making updated drivers for every OS upgrade so make sure they have the drivers for all your older devices before upgrading any OS, Mac or Windows.

How do you mod minecraft on a mac os lion because when i download it from the internet it comes up with loads of letters and phrases. Thanks in advance?

First of all, let me congratulate you on using the only sensible type of computer! Now, about the mods. The mod needs to be in folder form. Next, go finder>library*>application support>minecraft and rename minecraft.jar 'minecraft.zip' and double click it. Rename the folder 'minecraft.jar' then go inside and delete META-INF. Install Modloader (drag all of its .classes into minecraft.jar). Finally, as long as your mod is only lots of .classes, repeat as with modloader.

*Command+shift+G. Type in "~/Library" and go.

How can you record HDTV to mac os x via ieee 1394 interface?

The IEEE 1394 interface was created by Apple and is marketed as FireWire on their computers.

In theory you run a FireWire cable from the 1394 connection on your TV to a FireWire socket on your Mac and use some recording software to capture the HDTV signal.

In the real world things are never that simple. The IEEE 1394 interface on the TV is usually there to connect cable TV boxes rather than streaming HD content. There are ways to make this work but there are also many variables (make of TV etc.) that will prevent it from working. (See links below for a fairly old discussion about the topic).

A modern Intel Mac is quite capable of recording HDTV through a USB device, connected directly to the Mac, such as those made by Elgato using their EyeTV software.

What are examples of boondoggling?

There are 3 meanings for the word 'boondoggling'. 1. An unnecessary or wasteful project or activity. 2 a.A braided leather cord worn as a decoration especially by Boy Scouts. b. A cord of braided leather, fabric, or plastic strips made by a child as a project to keep busy.

Below is a link for meaning no. 2, but i presume you are asking about meaning no.1. So an example for that is playing handphone games to kill time.

Hope this helps :)
