Manners and Etiquette

Everyone likes to give gifts and there are a lot of people that do not give money. Have a wishing well at the reception for those that want to give the gift of money but also have a list or registry for gifts. If you have a stag/stagette or a Jack n' Jill you also make money there.

Do not be so eager to be greedy.

The three major categories or levels of workplace etiquette behaviors are as follows :

1] Boss to employees.

2 ]Co-workerss to each other.

3 ]Employees to Boss or Supervisiors .

Of course! Why would she not?

State the purpose of the communication in a business letter. In personal correspondence , a few general pleasantries first, hope you are well, how is the weather etc.

Gifts are not mandatory for the birthday party of an adult. Adults are in a better position to buy things for themselves, than children are. If there is something you would particularly like to give to the birthday celebrant, you are free to do so, but it is not required.

I'm a German/American blonde hair/blue eyed women that is dating a Mexican/American man. He treats me better than I have ever been treated before!! He is very respectful, generous, loving, caring man. He loves his children and mine as well. I wouldn't trade him for the world. It's about who he is as a person not what he is.

• If you other commitments then let the person who is inviting you know your reasons. If you have personal reasons for declining then it's better to tell a little white lie as to why you are not going rather than hurt the person giving the social event. * If it's a romantic letter then this means the person is yours forever or 'for the duration of the relationship.' If it's a friend writing then it means they will always be your friend.

It depends. If someone goes out of their way to buy you something, especially for you, and tries giving it to you, you should take the gift and thank them. If you were to say no to them and tell them to go get their money back, that's kind of humiliating on their part. But if they try giving you something such as money, then yes, it is okay to tell them politely that you do not wish to take their hard earned money.

Men are often times raised to be emotionless, and this lessens feelings of empathy. Men are often times taught to look out for number one with the exception of all else.

Male social structure demands that they may only be truly friends with those in a lower social position. This means hating those in a higher social position (which means to not care for them), and to attempt to keep those friends in their lower, subordinate position (which means only caring when their help will not put their friend in a higher position than themselves.) Because of this, men generally cannot care about other men.

As far as caring about women, you're on your own. Women these days, to be honest, have it a lot better than males anyways.

No. It's the other way around. Since more people are right-handed, you serve from the left to give the diner access to a serving platter with their dominant hand, When the diner is done, you remove from the right, as when the diner is done with his plate, he should have his hands in his lap to signal waitstaff he done with his plate.

it is important to be polite because if your not the person might be offended or something along those lines and will refuse to help.

Since we're talking about first impression, it's important that you look, smell and sound nice:

* wear clean clothes * clean nails are a must, please don't chew on them either * shower regularly and don't use tons of perfume. Girls/women like discreet fragrances, the ones that make you want to get a little closer to the guy, in order to feel his smell a little better. If they can smell you a mile away, that's exactly where they're going to stay. * your eyes and smile are very important. A nice, friendly smile will make her feel at ease and trust you. I would advise against winking. It can be considered offensive (but not by all). * don't try to look cool. It'll make them laugh. * be natural, but never forget your manners. * if you're nervous, just think that she's not as composed as she looks, either.

Yes. You have the fork ( close to the plate), knife, and then spoon. The napkin can go under these things, but some people now also put it on the plate/charger combination.

Use a napkin ring, to the extreme right of the plate. Some people find getting the napkin out from under utensils a bit tricky.

In general, egoistic people do not change given that egoism is an integral part of their overall personality. If egoistic people really annoy you, it's better to take the hit now than later. There's an old expression that states: There are many women in the world that would be so happy to meet a person such as yourself.

The most important concept to remember is, you can do nothing that will make them feel better.

It takes time to get past the feeling of loss. Religious assurances does nothing for the bereaved, but sometimes the people doing the talking feel better.

Anything you say will seem like the babbling of a friend who has become neurotic... There are times, especially when a family is deeply embedded in some type of religious extremism, that religious assurances MAY be appreciated, but in general, if the family is already involved in that, your words won't make much difference anyway.

Enough of what NOT to do, but there are some things that you can do.

When the moment is right, talk about one of your memories of the deceased, especially a memory that is positive or mildly amusing; nothing excessive or crude, the guiding principle should be, "will it be a good memory for the bereaved", and "will it be generally uplifting"?

Funerals, wakes, viewings and other events when the family is obviously in pain should NOT be a time for you to discuss your fears, but you should make those times about the deceased.

All too often, nobody outside of the family wants to talk about the person who has died; they often act as though the deceased never existed.

Friday is National Good Manners day. So you'd all better mind your Ps & Qs.

Manners are very important. They show that someone has been brought up well and that they can behave. Having manners show the type of person that you are!

When addressing an envelope to the wife of a doctor who is not a doctor herself then and he is Dr. John Doe, then address the envelope to her as Mrs. John Doe or Ms. (Mrs.) Jane Doe.

This question is too vague...What type of social situation are you referring to? "proper social behavior" would be a manner of behavior accepted as correct by most resonable people.
