If you've got two liters of cold air, that's a greater volume than one liter of hot air!!!!!! But what if you've got 0.1 kilogram of hot air and 0.1 kilogram of cold air? You've got the same amount of matter, right? They have the same mass: 0.1 kg. Will the hot and cold air occupy the same volume? NO!!! The hot air is less dense, which means it occupies MORE volume per unit mass than the cold air. So, if you have equal masses of hot and cold air, the hot air will have greater volume.

Do not know the term, Weldolet, but if your question is where or how do you decide where you are going to cut a pipe to add a branch line, then it is a matter of where it is possibe and the easiest to do. It is not always as close to where you would like it, but where it makes the most sense to do it. Depends on the type of pipe involved also. Copper or PVC you can cut any place you want. Steel, you can replace a coupling with a T and a union if it is in the middle of a run. With steel either black or galvanized you will have to add a union or go back to the end of the run and take everything apart.
Weld-o-lets are sized for the diameter of the pipe you are tying into and the diameter of the pipe you are adding. Example: 2" x 3" or 6" x 10". If you need the branch pipe to have a theaded connection you would select a Thread-o-let instead. Sizing is the same. Some o-let's can be used for a range of piping sizes. Typically a two-stroke is air cooled, while a four-stroke is water cooled, so the water cooling adds these additional items:
High pressure (HP) and Low pressure (LP) bypass systems are used for quick start-up of the unit as well as during trip-out, where load rejection at the turbine does not automatically lead to a boiler trip. With a bypass system, start-up is quicker. The system diverts the steam generated by the boiler to the Re-heater/Condenser, at the same time reducing the pressure and temperature of steam, thus maintaining a minimum circulation of steam through the boiler. This enables running the boiler without the turbine in service, ensuring flow through re-heater coils.
HP-LP bypass system has the following advantages :-
1.The prolonged venting of safety valves to atmosphere is avoided, thereby reducing DM water loss and cutting noise emission.
2.Sustained flow through the boiler heating surfaces is assured, ensuring Re-heater protection during start-up of units.
3.If the grid cannot accept power, the unit can be kept running on house load.
How do you you make a rubber band powered boat?
A rubber band boat works much like a rubber band airplane. First you need to build the boat itself. Then you need to make a propeller. The propeller shaft needs to run through the inside of the boat, not below the boat. With the prop below the water. The propeller shaft should not go the full length of the boat. About halfway through put a loop in the shaft. Then to the front of the boat attach a rubber band. Then run the rubber band through the loop in propeller shaft. Now twist the prop and the rubber band should twist around and around. When it's good and tight let go and the propeller should spin. Allowing the boat to move forward in the water.
Mind you the shaft needs to be a thin piece of metal, as it will be difficult to make it water tight.
