What degree of angle is the tool post for chamfering?

If you are using a 45 degree tool there's no need to set the tool post and you can just cut it by feeding the cross slide. If you are physically going to cut a chamfer with the compact slide, then you should set your tool post to 45 degrees.

Where does the liquid move the fastest in a centrifugal pump?

At the impeller tip where the linear velocity is highest as it farthest from the shaft center. In case of multiple impeller pump it is at the tip of the last impeller.

How do you calculate machine capacity in industry?

Depends on the type of the machine. For each one of them there is a formula that will lead to the capacity of a particular machine.

What is difference between 1018 steel and WCB?

AISI 1018 is usual quality structural grade

A216 Gr WCB is Steel Castings, Carbon, Suitable for Fusion Welding, for High- Temperature Service

Is an Air Compressor and an unfired pressure vessel the same thing?

A compressor increases the velocity of incoming air/gas and then converts this velocity energy into pressure energy. Using multi-stage compressor the pressure can be increased manifold. Most common compressor is the centrifugal type where air/gas is energized to high energy velocity by a rotating disc and impeller. A divergent duct then converts this high velocity air/gas into high pressure air/gas.
A compressor is not a container or a vessel and as such it does not store pressurized air/gas and hence cannot be termed as a pressure vessel. However to store and utilize this high pressure air/gas, an air receiver is connected to it through pipe and valves which stores such high pressure air/gas. This air receiver is a pressure vessel.
Air receiver which is a pressure vessel is subjected to periodic examination by a government certified competent person whereas compressors only need routine and preventive maintenance by inhouse engineers. The Factories Act and the Rules thereunder are very specific about this and has clearly mentioned such distinction.

What is mean by ER 70S in welding filler wire?

Er 70s mean,(er) electro resistance, 70s mean 70000 tensil strenth

What is the application of Lubricator in FRL system?

Filter prevents entry of moisture from discharge of compressor to a machine system such as printing press. Regulator maintains set pressure of the system and Lubricator supplies oil mist through dry air to various points of the machine system.

How is a cyringe made?

It is made up of a hollow needle, which is attached to a tube and a plunger. When the plunger handle is pulled back, fluids are drawn into the tube. The fluid is forced out through the needle when the handle is pushed down.

How do you transmit power 90 degree without gears?

It is possible using flat belts as they can be wide to provide torque and have great bending characteristics to accommodate the twist.

Who are the market leaders in steel spring manufacturing?

Tuthill Transport Technologies of Springfield, Missouri, led the industry with 2001 sales of $95 million and 400 employees. In second place was Hilite Industries of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, with $35 million in sales and 300 employees.

What is strain rate sensitivity index?

The resistance to prevent necking during deformation of a material. it is generally denoted by 'm'. The m value lies between 0 to 1. m = 1 for glass. higher value of m higher the formation of superplasticity

How do you fix a stuck bottom freezer door?

The drawer guides have frozen up. If you cannot work it loose by shifting the door up and down (don't hang on the handle, you'll yank it off and have a broken handle and a broken head) you'll have to shut the fridge down for like an hour... maybe less maybe more, but grab the door to pull open, not the handle. Next, when you get it open, pull the door all the way out, transfer food into cooler. You may have to remove the icemaker. There is always one more screw that you can't get at unless you crawl into the freezer and look in back of the front part. Look for the drawer guide release, it is about 6-inches from the front of the door on the outboard side of the steel guides. one gets pushed up, the other down and then the door and the short piece attached to it comes with it. Your refrigerator manual will have pictures. Now, at the back of the fridge at the end of the guides is a spring loaded mechanism that pulls the door in tight. Mine has two plastic prongs going up and two down. A table knife will lift the center section and allow you to pop the top prongs out and then remove the thing. (do one side at a time so you see how to reinstall the stuff). Look for any screws holding the guides to the wall. Mine did not have any anymore. Depress the plastic keeper that you uncovered when you took the spring loaded thingys out (Nice technical term there). Slide the guide out by pulling it to the front of the fridge. Clean thoroughly. The old lube broke down, got mucked up with mildew and absorbed water. You need to replace that. And that's why there's the smeary dark green sort of frozen crud at the bottom of the freezer. Dry it pretty thoroughly. For a short term fix, spray it up with silicone spray. 100% silicone is better (and more money) than the regular silicone based spray at the auto parts shop made by Gunk and others. Spray thoroughly and wipe off excess from the outside. Reinstall. Now do the other side. DON'T use oil based lubricants. Put the door keepers in (spring loaded thingys at the back). Next, order tubes of silicone grease lubricant used for lubricating o-rings in underwater cameras. Here's a link. I'll correct this if I find it does not work (mine are showing up Sept 12, 2008). http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ part no. IK5020 They sell four little tublettes for $1.90, free shipping. Another option is a 5.3-oz tube available for about $20 from several sources… http://www.waterfilters.net/ORing-Silicone-Lubricant_p_11-1127.html Since you have a nice maker and a water filter, maybe that's a worthwhile investment. Also, its approved for incidental contact with food, so Here's 3 oz. for $4 = http://www.yourbroadbandstore.com/product.php?pid=202516 has = = Clear Silicone Grease 3 Oz Tube With Applicator = Another source of grease is, of course, your local show room, open up one of these and scrape it off with your finger nail and take it home. Neither Sears, nor GE nor Whirlpool/Amana will own up to the need for re-lubricating these guides and the folks on the phone are useless. The local Sears appliance guy had no luck on the phone either.

What is externally threaded jewelry?

What is flow and non flow process of first low of thermodynamics?

Steady flow process

Fluid flow in which all the conditions at any one point are constant with respect to time

Fluid flow without any change in composition or phase equilibria

Flow velocities do not vary with time

Examples of steady flow process

- groundwater and channel flows

- turbine

- fluid heater

- orifice(throttling)

- nozzle

Non flow process

A thermodynamic process involving no fluid flow

Examples of non-flow process

- Heating at constant volume

- Adiabatic expansion in a cylinder

- Free Expansion (Joules experiment - valve is initially closed and then opened to equalize pressures)

- Heating a fluid in a cylinder at constant pressure

What is the difference between a stationary pulley and a mobile pulley?

Very simple the answers in your own question.

Stationary pulleys works on its own axle of rotation while the Movable pulleys move with Load like the one in cranes.
