Why does the reproductive age of a woman start from menarche and end at menopause?
Everything seems to have a beginning and an end so fertility in a woman has to start and end somewhere & Menarche is the word we give to the beginning & Menopause is the word we give to the end. Between the two will be most of her life and all of her reproductive, child bearing years.
OK the basics; Menarche is from the Greek meaning BEGINNING & is the term commonly used for the onset of the first period for a girl. That first period indicated the onset of fertility.
