No, it's highly unlikely that implantation bleeding is heavy enough to be able to safely use a tampon (using tampons withoutsufficientflow leads to increased vaginal damage, in turn higher risk of TSS) and it will not have a consistent flow pattern so you'd not know when it would stop or when blood flow may reduce.

Missing your period, for at least a couple of weeks, is the surest sign of pregnancy. Signs like oily hair or gas are caused by a variety of things, many not related to pregnancy.

Can taking opiates make you miss your period?

I used heroin for over a year and during that time did not have my period. In order to get my life together and get on the track to a sober life i have now been on methadone for five months. Even not doing heroin and only being on the methadone I still have no had my period. It has been now about a year and a half since I remember having one. I have seen a doctor and neglected to tell the obgyn about my drug use but did discuss my lack of a period. The doctor advised me that It is most likely that I am very thin and do not have enough body fat for a period. She also advised me that my weight fluctuating is worse than it being consistently low because constantly gaining and losing weight could cause cardiac arrest. Overall, I do believe both methadone, heroin, other opiates, and or low body fat percentage any of the above could certainly cause you not to have a period for quite some time.

Can a tampon be flushed and go through a sewage grinder?

Tampons should never be flushed.

Many tampon companies claim their tampons can be flushed to make them seem more convenient - as they are self-regulated they can make these claims even if not true, as long as a tampon passes the Brunelle Flushability test where a tampon passes the U bend in a toilet set-up in a laboratory they can call tampons 'flushable'.

Tampons don't break-down in water like waste or toilet paper, instead they expand so can cause major blockages in the toilet or further-up the system, tampons can also bypass sewage treatment systems and make their way into waterways.

Everyone is different. I've been off the depo shot for a little over a year & I've been getting regular periods for the past 9 months. The first couple months you might spot on & off , but usually within 3 months it should be back to normal .. now how long does it take to ovulate after the depo? - that's a different question .. some people can't get pregnant until 2 years after depo , usually you will be put on birth control pills after to help things go back to normal easier .. good luck!
