My 2005 SLK350 has a +ve connector under the bonnet. Its under a red plastic enclosure and has a hinged cover on it. Just access this connector and clip on your charger. You shouldn't need to access the battery.

I have no idea how to change spark plugs in any vehicle, let alone my 2003 Mercedes-Benz C230 (sports coupe). Fairly basic...the plugs are found after removing the 3 screws on the shield on top of motor that hold down the little inspection panel. The plugs themselves are in the deep holes.

drop the oil out the drain hole and remove the pan to gain access to the tranny filter. Replace the filter and put back the amount of fluid you drained out. Go to the dealer and they will check it's level for you.

Electromagnets.

There is no dyraulic fluid in the slk 230. I think this fluid is used on the starship enterprise but I will have to check with "Scottie" first. Sorry. Any good grade Hydraulic fluid from "Halfords" will do the trick. Sean

you must replace a sensor that is located on top of the bell housing unit . you must stick your hand between the fire wall and the engine. this is nothing but a magnet that detects the #1 piston in your engine. it costs around $120.00 if you do it yourself you will be saving around $400.00 in labor. I think it's called a cranking sensor good luck

There is NO switch or lever for the gas cap cover on a newer SLK280. To open the cover, just "press" on the left-hand side of the cover and it will pop open. To close it, simply swing the cover to the left and press down until it latches.

Had to get a key made myself , it is only made through an authorized Mercedes dealer, they will need the Mercedes vin number, and they need to see your drivers license and registration to makes sure it is you.

They keys are laxer cut, the dealership normally has to ordered it, vin number is all they will need to make a copy key, takes about 4 days

open the trunk, remove the plastic cover assy, remove the required bulb, 1/2 turn and replace same. Replace plastic cover, by pushing the plastic rivits stright in.

In the rear of the engine compartment on the passenger side.

you need to remove the centre air vent first tilt it up to its stop you will see some small plastic lugs using a flat screwdriver press them to a side the vent will now tilt a bit more look through gap you will see 2x screws repeat procedure tilting vent other way you will see 2x plastic lugs put a screw driver into them and lever down at the same time pull the vent. that's the tricky bit done now pull up the trim around the gear lever and remove the ashtray you will see near where the ashtray was 2x metal clips un hook them the trim around the radio and a/c panel will now come off revealing 2x screws to remove radio head unit job done
