Trust me, most guys my age and up until late high school will almost always focus on how you look....at first. Eventually, we(almost) stop caring about that. Girls need to be nice, interesting, and most guys learn that we need to listen, but let us get a few words in. Nothing is more annoying than a girl who cant stop talking! All you need to do is be nice, know some stuff, and be interesting. Dont be too popular though, cuz that gets a little irratating
Why does most gossip happen in middle school?
If you are talking about the older kids in middle school, sometimes they were bullied by others when they were new in middle school, so they feel like they need to be a pick on 'the new kids'. Others are just now going through puberty, so there are many changes going on in their bodies. Also, some feel they are 'better' than the new kids. They also could be nervous about being in high school soon. Do your best to ignore kids that are 'snotty' to you. You will make it, just focus on your classes. For it shall be over soon, however if school lasts until 4:00 in the afternoon or longer than you politely tell the teacher and if they are nice enough they will call the office and tell them that the students want to go home. It depends on what type of bag, their backpack? I think they should so that they have everything there with them when they need it and they don't have to run to their locker. But I also don't think that they should be able to carry it around because they can have weapons in their backpack, and it causes serious health risks carrying a heavy backpack around.
purse? I think every girl should be allowed to carry her purse because not every girl can tell exactly when her period is going to happen and if it happens in class you don't have time to run to your locker then to the bathroom! And they have make-up, brushes, etc in their purse that should be allowed in class. And, it's so easy to text in school with a purse(I'm a girl lol). But then again girls can also carry around weapons or drugs in their purse easily. Schools just have to be really careful with kids now, they're not all little angels, you know?. But in my school we were allowed to have a purse in class just not on the desk hehe.

I would say pretty low. I do know of two people who met in 7th grade and got married after school (high school) but, I would think that you meet to many other people along the way and find differences that weren't there which could make you break up. You also grow up and might not like each other later.

At this grade level, the amount of school work increases dramatically and children usually start having different teachers for each subject.
