Is it safe to take Excedrin if on Clonazepam?
Yes, it is safe to take both Excedrin and Clonazepam.
Excedrin contains three ingredients: acetaminophen (Tylenol), aspirin (non-steroidal-anti-inflammatory), and caffeine.
Clonazepam (Klonopin) is a medication in the benzodiazepine class of medications which is used both as an anti-seizure medication and to treat panic disorder and anxiety.
There should not be a drug interaction between the two.
Tell your doctor what you have been doing. NEVER take any meds, OTC or prescription when pregnant without Doc's OK.
Further InfoExcedrin Migraine contains three ingredients.
Acetaminophen - Tylenol, has been deemed safe to take during pregnancy.
Caffeine - (in two tablets it is about the amount of two cups of coffee) Drinking small amounts of caffeine during pregnancy is generally seen as safe. If your blood pressure has become high enough that your doctor is now having to keep a close eye on you, especially if you are at risk for preeclampsia, then having the equivalent of two cups of coffee at once is definitely something you want to avoid.
The third ingredient in Excedrin is what may present a problem - aspirin.
Aspirin is in a group of medications called NSAIDs or non-steroidal-anti-inflammatories, Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) are also in this group (and are also advised to be steered clear of during pregnancy, in most cases)
Aspirin is one of those medications that the majority of women will be told to stay away from during pregnancy. While a single dose is unlikely to cause a problem, taking the full adult dose repeatedly can cause problems. Taking it early in pregnancy is associated with increased risk for miscarriage. Late in pregnancy it can cause bleeding complications for both you and the baby.
That said - some women are candidates for low dose aspirin therapy during pregnancy. There has been evidence that it may actually help reduce the possibility of preeclampsia.
Aspirin is also something you do not want to have in your system while breastfeeding, because it is passed through breast milk. Children taking aspirin while they have a viral infection may develop Reye's Syndrome, a very serious medical condition. (On any packaging of meds containing aspirin, there is a warning about Reye's Syndrome and to not give aspirin to children under 18 years of age).
Excedrin Tension Headache has the acetaminophen and caffeine, without the aspirin. Excedrin PM contains the acetaminophen with diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Benadryl is Class B when it comes to pregnancy, meaning it hasn't been shown to cause problems, but they don't know enough to rule out that it could. Benadryl is sometimes used in the emergency room to help relieve migraine headaches. Either of these options would be something you could discuss with your doctor for OTC medications.
yes it definitely can according to all the doctors that have answered this type of question just remember never have sex when you have a UTI.

If so, then cut the oxygen ppO back. It sounds like you have a good handle on this already. My guess is you are having a CO2 buildup and getting a CO2 headache (even though you aren't skip breathing) or a sinus squeeze. Make sure you are fully exhaling and not holding a little air in your lungs while trying to stay neutral ... and perhaps you are not. I would try to find a doctor that is a diver to figure out what is going on since you should not be getting headaches.

What causes migraine after during and before the period?
I sometimes get migraines before and during my period. What causes mine, as a woman who suffers from migraines, is the elevation and then severe drop in estrogen. During ovulation is when your estrogen levels are at the highest, and then your estrogen levels drop suddenly during your period.
I don't know exactly why this imbalance causes our heads to pound while other women do okay with it.
For how long does excedrin relief pain from your body?
Excedrin (as well as Excedrin Migraine which contains the same ingredients), contains Acetaminophen (Tylenol), Aspirin, and Caffeine.
Acetaminophen works to relieve pain and has a half-life of 2-4 hours. So, anywhere from 4-8 hours the acetaminophen will be completely gone from your body.
Aspirin works by blocking pain signals before they get to the brain, also by reducing inflammation (where much of migraine pain is an inflammatory response - this is especially important). Its half-life (for the normal dosage of Excedrin) would be about 3.1-3.2 hours. So, at about 6 hours all aspirin would be gone from your body.
Caffeine works both by increasing the rate of absorption of the medication and by working as a vasocontrictor on blood vessels that are dilated due to inflammation. Taking two Excedrin is about the same as drinking a cup of coffee. The half-life of caffeine is about 5 hours.
The directions for Excedrin say to take 2 tablets every 6 hours. This is both because they don't want you overdosing on the medication and because at about 6 hours the pain relieving effects will be wearing off from all three components.
If you are taking over-the-counter medications for your headaches and are finding they are doing little to nothing for your pain, see your doctor. And please read the labels of any other medications your are taking to make sure they do not contain an NSAID (like ibuprofen - which is Motrin, Advil) or Acetaminophen (which is in every form of Tylenol and in some cold medications as well).

What You Need to Know About Headaches and Migraines?
There are many different types of head pains, or cephalalgia, including headaches and migraines. Although there are many different types of migraines, in general, migraines only have pain on one side of the head while both sides of the head are affected by headaches.
Migraines also have other symptoms such as sudden extreme sensitivity to light and sound; nausea; dizziness; vomiting and eye pain. People who suffer from migraines are called migraineurs. The worst type of headache is called a cluster headache, which comes about one or two hours after a person falls asleep. The pain is so intense that it has been described as worse than childbirth.
Causes and Risk FactorsHeadaches are caused by a variety of factors, including concussion, and infection or tumors. One of the most common types is called tension-type headache, which is caused by a strain of the shoulders, neck and upper back. People in offices that sit in front of computers for hours are prone to this type of headache.
It is unknown what causes most types of migraines, although most types run in families. The exact cause of a migraine is unknown, although more women than men are affected. Eating certain foods or being in certain situations may trigger a migraine attack. For example, many women get a migraine during their pre-menstrual phase. Others may get a migraine after drinking red wine. Each migraineur has unique triggers or combination of triggers.
TreatmentTreatment for headaches depends on the cause. Some people may need an over the counter painkiller and a nap while worst case scenarios would need immediate hospitalization and surgery. If a headache does not go away with over the counter painkillers, seek medical attention immediately.
Treating migraines can be complicated. Migraineurs are encouraged to keep a migraine journal, noting what they ate, what the weather was like or what was happening directly before migraine attacks. Migraineurs soon learn when their bodies are warning them that an attack is immanent. It is then they take medication in order to curb the attack. If this does not work, migraineurs may have to go to the hospital to take opiods when they suffer from attacks.

Will a pregnant 12-year-old with migraine headaches have a normal pregnancy?
Will the migraines interfere in her pregnancy? They shouldn't, unless she doesn't discuss medications with her doctor before she takes them. The good news may be for her that the pregnancy might actually give her migraines a remission. And some women find that after giving birth they never have migraines again. Now, will she have a normal pregnancy being 12 years old? That is a whole different story. Birth defects due to poor nutrition (you know how kids eat), birth defects due to STDs. Not to mention problems with carrying and delivery. She hit puberty, but it doesn't mean her pelvis was properly widened to carry a child yet.
