How do you start a miscarriage?
You may experience heavy bleeding and a huge blood clot coming from your vagina. Here is more input: * I just had a miscarriage at the end of April. Besides that, I've had two normal pregnancies. I knew from the day I found out I was pregnant that something was wrong with the pregnancy that ended up in miscarriage. I had very light spotting almost everyday. It started light pink and sometimes was brown. I had PMS-like cramps throughtout the entire 12 weeks the pregnancy lasted. I had a vaginal ultrasound at 5 weeks and another at 12 weeks. The first one showed a normal pregnancy with a strong heartbeat. (Although the baby looked like a white blob.) The second showed that the pregnancy only progressed up to 10 weeks and the tech couldn't detect a heartbeat. By the time I had my 2nd ultrasound the bleeding had just started to get heavier, like a light period, and the blood was turning bright red. The day after that I was scheduled for a D&C. Depending on how far into the pregnancy you are they can differ. Very early in pregnancy they may resemble a heavy period. In general blood spotting and possibly cramping could aslo be indicators. Of course the best route is to visit a doctor for an exam. Bleeding and pain are signs of a miscarriage, but they don't always mean you are having one. It is important to see a doctor if you think you are having a miscarriage. Unfortunately, sometimes there are no signs.. I was told before that you would experience cramping and then heavy bleeding.. I had a miscarriage when I was sitting in front of my computer, felt something wet and went to the bathroom with a big gush of blood.. Sometimes it just happens without any notice. Even as early as 7 weeks, miscarriage is a painful experience. I still grieve from the loss, same with my partner...and there are really times when it can put strain to our relationship. but we try to move on and stay positive. I am still bleeding, although not as heavy as when it started. My advice is, if you suspect that you are pregnant, don't put yourself through any stressful activities...if you feel tired, take a rest and if there's any sign of bleeding or cramping or anything unusual that cause worry, don't hesitate to see your doctor. I was pregnant with fibroids. In my 15th week, I got a lot of cramping and lower back pain and was told by my doctor that in my case it was normal and the fibroids causing me discomfort and was prescribed some medication. I was assured that my baby was in no danger. I was told that the signs of a miscarriage is bleeding and cramping together. In my 18th week, I went for a checkup and was told my baby was doing well and even heard the baby's heart beat. 3 days later I started getting cramps and lower back pain as there was no spotting or bleeding, I was not concerned and did not call the doctor, early the next morning, there was a spot of blood and within the next 3 seconds my amniotic sac (water bag) burst and I started miscarrying. I would like to tell all expectant mothers that just because there is no spotting or blood, does not mean that all is well. If there is any discomfort or pain please call your doctor immediately.

I was 6 weeks pregnant when i miscarried. I started spotting earlier on though, like at 5 weeks, It started with very little and very light brown discharge that turned darker n darker, then in turned into pink in 3 days and then into bright red two days after the bright red, my doc told me my HCG levels are decreasing and a loss is expected, and 2 hours after that, i started getting period like cramps and the spotting turned into an actual flow. It was like a period, not heavy at all, no bad cramps it lasted a week and it was gone. it has been two weeks now that i stopped bleeding and my HCG levels were down to 12 three days ago. I was almost 10 weeks pregnant and 4 of my home tests came up unclear, so if your tests come up positive one time then negative or unclear the next, my best advice would be to go to the doctor and ask for a blood test because those are far more accurate than Urinary Analysis's.
I had one last month and think I may be pregnant again also. However, I did ready today that our HCG amount may not go down for 4-6 weeks after a miscarriage ( so that could cause a positive result). Yes you can still perform a pregnancy test. However depending upon how far along into the pregnancy you are, there is a possibility that the pregnancy test may be performed too early. Your best bet would be to see your doctor now and have a pregnancy blood test performed known as the Quantitative beta HCG blood test which will measure the amount of HCG in your blood. Or alternatively go to A&E now and inform the accident & emergency department that you believe you may of been pregnant and are having a miscarriage. They will give you a thorough examination and perform the blood test I mentioned to see if you was pregnant hun. Good luck x
Slight bleeding is common during early pregnancy. If the bleeding becomes very heavy or you experience abdominal cramping then this is a sign of a miscarriage. See your doctor for confirmation of the pregnancy via a blood test.

this happened to me as well, i was pregnant for like 8 weeks or so. then i was bleeding heavily on may 8 then fainted may 10 and still bleeding heavily, a large clot of blood that look quite like a liver came out,may 12 i had a pregnancy test. it was positive. may 17 i had a check up cause im still bleeding and my tummy is beating , i thought it was a heartbeat but then the doc told me that there is no baby found inside cause she ie-d me and ultrasound me,.the cervix is not opened anymore and my uterus is low for an 8-10 week old baby. she suggest that i have trans v ultrasound for me to be sure,. i think that's a miscarriage, cause my tummy is not growing anymore. but the best way is have yourself checked up with professionals.:)
Is there a risk with an irregular shaped gestational sac?
I had an irregular shaped gestational sac. At 8 weeks I had a scan which showed that the yolk sac measured 8 weeks but the fetal pole only measured 6 weeks but there was a heart beat. I had a repeat scan 2 weeks later sadly to find that the sac had collapsed and no heart beat. I have to go for a D and C tomorrow because my body as not rejected the pregnancy.Thus in my case a irregular shaped gestational sac was not a good sign. I also had a slightly irregular shaped gestational sac first noticed at a 6 week scan with a heartbeat of 118. I had bleading with this pregnancy as well that started as a light discharge and then became a steady period. I went to the E.R. at 8 weeks and the baby's heartbeat was strong at 150. The E.R. doctor said they could not tell where the bleading was coming from, but noted again that the ultrasound showed a slightly irregular shaped gestational sac and to follow up in 1 week. Two days later, I miscarried at home. After talking to several friends that are OBGYNs, any irregularity to the gestational sac will most likely lead to a miscarriage.

Implantation bleeding can happen when the egg implants in the uterine wall. It is not something that happens in every case. You can have implantation bleeding and NOT be pregnant as well, because the blastocyte may have genetic abnormalities that do not permit growth, thus the egg dies.
This is not normal and you should contact your doctor ASAP.
