Outlander utilizes a four-cylinder engine for less weight and better fuel economy. Rated at 140 horsepower and 157 pound-feet of torque, the 2.4-liter four has enough power to give the Outlander a quick start, but from there on out, the thrust drops off quickly. Acceleration on the highway is leisurely at best, but the engine is refined enough that high-rpm passing maneuvers don't illicit much racket from under the hood.

The Oxygen sensor is on top of the ezaust manifold, on the rear driver side part of it. It is hard to get to...very hard. it is below and to the passenger side of the brake booster, to the right of the coil pack. If you open the hood and are facing the motor, Behind the motor the rear on the driver side, look on top of the exaust manifold, it is very hard to get to. please excuse spelling. There are 2 oxygen sensors. One before and after the catalytic converter.

You can trace the drain line down on the passenger side on the lower firewall from behind the passenger side front wheel. If you put it on jack stands you can find it with a good light.

On the one I just fixed, it is on the firewall below and just toward center of where the heater hoses go into the firewall. Easy way to find it, leaning over the driver's side fender reach between the engine and air cleaner assembly and it is just to the center of the vehicle and slightly below the heater hose inlets. It is a small rubber L shaped hose sticking through the firewall. You can take a short piece of wire, about 8 inched long and run up inside of it to open the drain. Main thing though, is to keep the trash out of the air inlets at the top of the firewall so this doesn't happen too often. It wasn't anywhere close to where the above answer says it is.

Under a small plastic cover underneath the engine, right hand side sitting in right hand drive vehicle. K&N do a filter, 10w 40 oil.

Just open the back hatch of the vehicle. When you do that, you will see two screws holding the brake light cover to the vehicle. Take them off, then separate the cover from the vehicle. This will gain you access to the lights.
