An N gauge engine may jump the track for a number of different reasons, so you will have to do some careful analysis of the occurrence before you can find a solution. Joints in the track may be uneven, wheels on the engine may be out of alignment or out of gauge, the wheels or axles may be too loose or the leading truck has too much (or not enough) flexibility, or a number of other things. Sorry I can't give a simple answer without observing the problem.
Similar answers for the uncoupling of cars in motion. Uneven track or joints, misaligned coupler height, out of gauge wheels, loose trucks or axles, and much more. Again, it will take some careful observation to determine the cause before you find a cure.

What is a non functioning pantograph?
They are bits of plastic that represent the pantographs (overhead wire pickups) on real trains. The "non-Functioning" represents the fact they don't power the train
Is there a tool for setting a model train on tracks?
There are two types of railers available. One is a rerailer track, with a little patience they will align the wheels onto the rail. It will also re rail a derailed car.
The other is a device that the car it set into then rolled onto the rail.
Both are available at hobby shops or probably on line.

In the lingo of transformers, the voltage is considered to be the independent variable, and even though the
current on both sides is also tied to the turns ratio, the convention is that the concept of step-up and step-down

Bachmann is a lower end priced set usually soldm by stores like Wal-Mart. There are 3 different releases of this set - the original one did not sell well and has a value of aproximateld (depending on the date code) 60 dollars US. Later one are valued at less than 20 dollars US (but you might try advertising it in one of the collectors magazine, make sure to give the manufactures date.)
