all i know is, a-b model is 1989 to 1997

my dad has an 01 cr250r and i have an 01 yz250. starting off with the cr, the motor is honestly one of the best motors you can throw in a frame but the 01 frame was horrible. it felt like honda strapped a motor to a merry go round horse and sold it. the bike was horrible. on the other hand the yz's motor didnt have as hard of a " hit " but pulled better and harder through all gears and handled great. not a single flaw on the yamaha. Go yami or go home.

a roost deflector is a "chest protector", just the proper name for it. it is commonly believed that a roost deflector is designed to protect your chest in the event of a crash. this is false, they are only meant to deflect roost (rocks,dirt,mud) that have been thrown from opposing riders' tires.

The 10th digit is the year of manufacture. f is 85, g is 86, h is 87 etc. So yours is an 87. It should have the 6 speed tranny as well.

There are several different "types" of dirt bikes!

For brands there are Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Gasgas, Aprilia, ATK, etc.

For displacement, the most common ones are 50cc, 85cc, 100cc, 125cc, 150cc, 200cc, 225cc, 250cc, 350cc, 400cc, 450cc, 500cc, 600cc, 650cc, and even 700cc!

As for actual types of dirt bikes there are motocross bikes, enduro (dual-sport) bikes, trials bikes, trail bikes, and many variations and setups like desert, dunes, ice, supercross, etc.

A CR100 doesn't exist. Perhaps you mean CRF100? The KX85 has more power and is harder to ride than the CRF100. The CRF100 is suited to young riders. The 85 is suited to 11-14/15 year olds

yes motocross was ranked under soccer at number two for most physical demanding sport. Pros have incredible endurance even over track runners believe it or not

Having owned a 2007 crf230 and ridden my friends 2005 ttr 230, I prefer the ttr. The Honda crf230 was a great bike, don't get me wrong, but the stock suspension is very soft. If you only weigh 120-140 lbs, you will probably love the crf 230, but weigh 180+ and you'll bottom out the suspension at the slightest jump. There are many suggested modifications for the crf230, which include doing a fork conversion to a better suspension due to the poorly designed forks.

Both bikes have nearly identical power, torque, and top speed, but the suspension on the ttr 230 was a little more substantial. Essentially they are both trail bikes, so you won't get the output of a true motocross bike. But if you are going just off looks, I agree, the Honda is the better looking bike of the two.

No You cant if there is a trial by the school you could risk chaining it up to a tree but if you take it to school you have an off road vehicle on public property so you could have your bike ticketed and impounded.

it all depends if your looking to go with a 2 smoker or a 4 smoker .. if ure looking to race and have about a year of experience rround any MX track then i would say CRF250R would be perfect as u can grow into it with the years and if this is your first time ever riding a motorcycle then i would say go with the CRF250F 4 smoker or a YZ125 2 smoker..

the 250 is way better than the 350 and kodiak the 350s body is the size of a 700 so it ways it down the 250 is the best
